Cotton stalk, a waste product in agriculture, serves as a beneficial, low-cost material as a medium for microbial synthesis of lactic acid as desired for polylactic acid synthesis. Cotton stalk was used as a substrate for microbial lactic acid synthesis, and a novel strain of was reported to synthesize 51.4 g/L lactic acid using cellulose recovered from the cotton stalk.

Patients And Methods: Between September 2020 and June 2021, a total of 100 lupus nephritis patients (8 males, 92 females; mean age: 31.1±1.
Recently, interest and demand for healthy and useful food products have become a global requirement. Thus, the production of functional foods with high polyunsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants is very challenging. In this study, four functional spreadable oleogels based on canola oil and milk proteins were developed.

Purpose: This article describes a framework for developing international research collaborations among graduate students. Central to this framework is the utility of institutional and association-based academic mentorship programs in developing collaborative partnerships. We illustrate how the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's Mentoring Academic Research Careers program served as a vehicle for fostering remote collaboration and provided training experiences for graduate students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the current study, six legume-cereal crop sequences, including faba bean, soybean, Egyptian clover, wheat, and maize were evaluated along two experimental rotations that ended up by planting the terminal maize crop. In addition, the effects of applying variable mineral nitrogen (MN) rates with and without the incorporation of farmyard manure (FYM) on the productive performance of maize and its NUE were tested.

There are plenty of cultivars that possess variability in their productivity and quality among the different cuts. Therefore, accurate agronomic and qualitative characterization is crucial for selecting the most promising cultivars for breeding and feeding purposes.

Background: Camel milk contains all the essential nutrients as cow’s milk, and has potential beneficial nutritive properties. The drying process has a little effect on the surface composition of milk powders. The use of camel milk powder in the manufacture of processed cheese could produce a product with special functional properties.

Materials And Methods: Five experimental toothpaste samples were prepared and grouped, such that group (A0) was the experimental toothpaste base formula. Groups (A1), (A2), (A3), and (A4) were the experimental toothpastes containing: nCPP; nCPP and nACP; nCPP, nACP, and , and nCPP, nACP, and nGMP, -respectively.
Bionanocomposites have attracted a tremendous level of consideration as alternatives for a broad group of commercial materials based on petroleum-derived compounds and used for coating cheese. Sustainable, economical and environmentally compatible materials based on chitosan (CS), poly vinyl alcohol (PVA), glycerol (Gy) and titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO-NPs) were prepared. Moreover, the prepared bionanocomposites (CS/PVA/Gy/TiO-NPs) were characterized using XRD, SEM, TEM, WVTR and mechanical strength.

The CH/CMC/ZnO bionanocomposites were investigated using FT-IR, TEM, SEM, XRD, and TGA. The acquired bionanocomposites exhibited improved mechanical and thermal properties compare with the biocomposites (CH/CMC) blend.
