Article Synopsis
  • NPM1 mutations are significant in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) prognosis, occurring in a notable percentage of patients, prompting this study to develop a sensitive detection method called drop-off droplet digital PCR (ddPCR).
  • The drop-off ddPCR was tested on 130 AML patients, confirmed through Sanger sequencing and next-generation sequencing (NGS), with a sensitivity of about 0.05% and successfully identifying 25.4% of cases with NPM1 mutations.
  • This innovative testing method demonstrated strong consistency and reliability, making it effective for initially screening AML patients and for monitoring measurable residual disease (MRD) in those in remission.

The role of B7-H3 in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is not fully understood. Two previous studies investigating its expression and significances in AML are partially different. In this study, we aimed to systematically characterize the genomic and immune landscape in AML patients with altered B7-H3 expression using multi-omics data in the public domain.

Introduction: High-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) is a therapeutic target for sepsis. Glycyrrhizin (GL) is the aglycone of glycyrrhizin derived from licorice. We clarified the anti-inflammatory effects of GL.

Polymer composites based on high density polyethylene (HDPE) and carbon nanofiber (CNF) were fabricated by melt compounding. The dependences of electrical conductivity of HDPE-CNF composites on filler concentration, temperature, and applied electric field were investigated. The results showed that the conductivity of the HDPE-CNF composites follows the scaling law of percolation theory.
