Aims: Considering the insulin sensitivity may increase by exercise particularly in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D), glycemic variation during exercise needs to be studied when the patients are treated with insulin. This study aimed to explore the influence factors of the efficacy and safety of aerobic exercise in patients with T2D treated with Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion (CSII).
Methods: A total of 267 patients with T2D, treated with CSII, were included.
The mechanism by which gastrin promotes pancreatic cancer cell metastasis is unclear. The process of directing polarized cancer cells toward the extracellular matrix is principally required for invasion and distant metastasis; however, whether gastrin can induce this process and its underlying mechanism remain to be elucidated. In this study, we found that gastrin-induced phosphorylation of paxillin at tyrosine 31/118 and RhoA activation as well as promoted the metastasis of PANC-1 cancer cells.

Aim: The aim of this study is to establish a method for determination of eupatilin in Argyi and observe the inhibitory effect of Argyi extract on human hepatoma SMMC-7721 cells.
Methods: High-performance liquid chromatograph system with 2910 pump, 2930 UV detector, and N2000 workstation was used for determination of eupatilin in Argyi. Human hepatoma SMMC-7721 cells were cultured and cell proliferation was measured using the MTT assay.
Background: Urinary tract infections (UTIs) occur more frequently in diabetic patients. This study was conducted to investigate the prevalence, risk factors and microorganisms of UTIs in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D).
Patients And Methods: A total of 3,652 Chinese inpatients with T2D were reviewed and data on their clinical characteristics, symptoms of UTIs, random blood glucose, HbA1c, glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody, insulin autoantibody, albumin excretion rate in 24-hour urine, urine culture and susceptibility to antibiotics, and so on were collected.

As determined using flow cytometry and intracellular ROS assays, chaetocin was found to induce cell cycle arrest and oxidative stress, leading to CCLP-1 cell apoptosis. Cell apoptosis can be initiated via different apoptotic signaling pathways under oxidative stress.
