Outside of her work in an emergency department, Hazel Mortimer develops clinical care and operational management skills as a St John Ambulance volunteer, attending some of the biggest sporting and social events in the UK. She plans to be at the 2010 London marathon, when she expects to keep going long after the last runner crosses the finishing line
