Psychometric properties of the Turkish Version General Self-Efficacy Scale in children and adolescents with cancer.

Objectives: The study aimed to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the General Self-Efficacy Scale in children and adolescents aged 8-18 undergoing cancer treatment.

Methods: The sample of this methodological and descriptive study consisted of 128 children and adolescents between the ages of 8 and 18 in the pediatric hematology-oncology wards and outpatient units of a university hospital. The study was implemented in a university hospital in Turkey between March 2023 and November 2023.

Problem: Preventive and supportive nursing care interventions of school nurses are very important in the early adolescence period, in which the significant physical and sexual changes occur. One ramification of these changes may be social appearance anxiety. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of resilience on social appearance anxiety among early adolescents.
