Assessing the Diagnostic Performance of Automated Pituitary Gland Volume Measurement for Idiopathic Central Precocious Puberty.

It is known that the pituitary gland volume (PV) in idiopathic central precocious puberty (IPP) is significantly higher than in healthy children. However, most PV measurements rely on manual quantitative methods, which are time-consuming and labor-intensive. This study aimed to automatically measure the PV of patients with IPP using artificial intelligence to accurately quantify the correlation between IPP and PV, and to improve the efficiency of diagnosing IPP.

This study aimed to introduce and categorize various acute conditions that can involve the hippocampus and explain the findings of MRI, especially diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). Acute hippocampal disorders are divided into six categories: infection, inflammation, metabolic, ischemic, traumatic, and miscellaneous.

Diagnostic role and correlation with staging systems of PIVKA-II compared with AFP.

Background/aims: Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and protein-induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist (PIVKA-II) are representative markers of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of PIVKA-II when compared with AFP for detecting HCC. Furthermore, we evaluated the correlation between PIVKA-II and HCC staging.
