Background: Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles (30-150 nm in size) that play a critical role in cellular communication, transporting proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids between cells. This literature review focuses on evaluating the potential benefits and limitations of exosomes in enhancing skin health and aesthetics through indications such as skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and pigmentation disorders.
Methods: A thorough literature search was conducted on PubMed using specific MeSH, including "exosomes," "aesthetics," "cosmetic dermatology," "skin rejuvenation," "hair growth," and "wrinkle reduction.
Introduction: Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) represent a significant genetic variation influencing individual responses to cosmetic dermatology treatments. SNP profiling offers a pathway to personalized skincare by enabling practitioners to predict patient outcomes, customize interventions, and mitigate risks.
Background: The integration of genetic insights into dermatology has gained traction, with SNP analysis revealing predispositions in skin characteristics, such as collagen degradation, pigmentation, and inflammatory responses.
Height augmentation and cephalic contouring using hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers represent an innovative approach in minimally invasive aesthetic medicine. This study introduces a novel technique for vertex augmentation, leveraging cross-linked HA fillers to achieve subtle height enhancement and cephalic contouring. A 42-year-old male patient seeking non-surgical height augmentation underwent vertex injections with 15 ml of HA filler (e.

However, rapid weight reduction induced by these medications often leads to esthetic challenges, including facial volume loss, skin laxity, and body contour irregularities. This commentary reviews the esthetic consequences of GLP-1-induced weight loss and explores solutions for managing these concerns in clinical practice.

Background: The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and ultrasound (US) technology is reshaping facial aesthetics, providing enhanced diagnostic precision, procedural safety, and personalized patient care. The variability in US imaging, stemming from patient anatomy, operator skills, and equipment diversity, poses challenges in achieving consistent and accurate outcomes. AI addresses these limitations by standardizing imaging protocols, automating image analysis, and supporting real-time decision-making.

Background: The integration of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies into cosmetic dermatology offers new avenues for enhancing patient engagement, satisfaction, and decision-making. These immersive tools allow patients to better visualize the outcomes of procedures before treatment, improving communication with physicians and increasing confidence in cosmetic interventions. Despite the promise these technologies hold, there remain concerns regarding their accessibility, technical limitations, ethical challenges, and the potential for algorithmic bias.

These fillers are predominantly produced through microbial fermentation, followed by a critical cross-linking process that enhances their longevity by resisting enzymatic degradation. This review provides a thorough examination of the manufacturing processes that differentiate HA fillers, with particular attention to the distinctions between biphasic and monophasic variants.

Background: The complex ecosystem of the skin microbiome is essential for skin health by acting as a primary defense against infections, regulating immune responses, and maintaining barrier integrity. This literature review aims to consolidate existing information on the skin microbiome, focusing on its composition, functionality, importance, and its impact on skin aging.
Methods: An exhaustive exploration of scholarly literature was performed utilizing electronic databases including PubMed, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate, focusing on studies published between 2011 and 2024.
Background: The Hybrid Cooperative Complexes of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acids (HHCC) improve skin structure and bioactivity. Massive weight loss damages cellular composition and morphological structure of skin. An injective treatment of postobese skin consisting of HHCC may have a role in counteracting these histopathological alterations.

These generations are often exposed to unattainable beauty standards that can lead to distorted self-perceptions and body image disorders such as Zoom dysmorphia. To address this issue, we propose embedding health education, critical media literacy, and active parental involvement in educational curricula.

Background: The response of AI in situations that mimic real life scenarios is poorly explored in populations of high diversity.
Objective: To assess the accuracy and validate the relevance of an automated, algorithm-based analysis geared toward facial attributes devoted to the adornment routines of women.
Methods: In a cross-sectional study, two diversified groups presenting similar distributions such as age, ancestry, skin phototype, and geographical location was created from the selfie images of 1041 female in a US population.
Introduction: The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into cosmetic medicine promises to revolutionize the field by enhancing diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care.
Objective: This manuscript explores the current adoption and perceptions of AI among professionals in the realm of cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery, utilizing insights from the IMCAS Congress 2024 attendees.
Methods: A survey employing a digital questionnaire with 14 questions was distributed among attendees of the IMCAS Congress 2024 to evaluate their familiarity with AI, usage in clinical practice, perceived advantages, and concerns regarding data privacy and security.
Q-switched lasers have undeniably revolutionized the field of laser dermatology since four decades ago. Just as the first-generation laser emits its photonic signal in a few nanoseconds, the picosecond laser delivers pulse widths of at least ten times shorter. These devices offer a powerful tool for treating a wide range of skin conditions with a minimal downtime for visible improvement.
