Background: Treatment-related skin reactions (TRSRs) induced by enfortumab vedotin (EV) targeting nectin-4 are among the most common adverse events. However, their association with survival and treatment response is poorly understood.
Methods: We retrospectively identified patients who received EV from December 2021 to April 2023 at Nagoya University Hospital and its affiliated facilities and extracted clinical data from their medical records.
Reducing synthetic nitrogen fertilizer (SNF) use is critical for mitigating environmental nitrogen (N) pollution caused by excessive reactive nitrogen and lowering the cost of chemical N fertilizer inputs in agricultural management. In response, Japan has set a national target to reduce chemical fertilizer inputs, with a goal of 30% reduction in SNF use. To assess the feasibility of this target, we collected ca.

Method: We analyzed the lipid test results of 8,568 students screened for prevention of lifestyle-related diseases and 78 children under 15 years old with cholesterol levels exceeding 220 mg/dL who visited Chutoen General Medical Center. We examined the LDL-C distribution from school-age screenings and conducted FMD and IMT assessments on those meeting the 2022 Pediatric FH Guidelines criteria.
A deceased man in his 50 s was found with his neck over a broken glass door frame, with blood around the body. A non-contrast postmortem computed tomography (PMCT) scan revealed subcutaneous hemorrhage, temporal bone fracture, and cerebral contusion. Also, wounds extending from the anterior to posterior neck and the presence of air in the cervical vessels suggested cervical vascular injury.

This case report demonstrates the use of the Voronoi algorithm to assess myocardial ischemia using coronary PMCTA. A male in his 70s was found unconscious in a car after colliding with a traffic light pole.

AHD is diagnosed by the identification of T1-weighted brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) hyperintensities coupled with the presence of PSS and neurological symptoms. Clinical presentations primarily involve motor dysfunction and cognitive impairment.

However, it remains unclear how long platelet hyperactivity lasts after the acute phase, owing to a lack of follow-up studies. To elucidate the course of platelet hyperactivity, we serially measured platelet activity in patients with COVID-19 up to 40 days after hospital admission using an easily assessable haematology analyser that semi-quantitates platelet clumps on a scattergram.

The phase change process in the condensed spray flow was estimated based on the droplet size distribution measured by a phase Doppler particle analyzer and the temperature distribution measured by a thermistor. On the central axis, the size distribution was unimodal in the spray interior.

Sudden cardiac death (SCD) mainly due to ischemic heart diseases is the top cause of sudden death. However, there are pathophysiological conditions, referred to as sudden arrhythmic death syndrome, in which no apparent lesion can be identified even after complete conventional or ordinary autopsy.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFWith the widespread use of postmortem computed tomography (PMCT) beside forensic autopsies for investigation of causes of death, three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction and fusion imaging using PMCT data are now becoming common. In the present study, the applicability of virtual reassembly from PMCT data was investigated in three cases involving fragmentation of the skull or spine due to high-energy trauma, as in such cases it is sometimes difficult to obtain detailed information on fractures using macroscopic observation alone. In the first case, virtual reassembly of the skull provided more information about the fractures than conventional reconstruction with adhesive.

Here, we report a case of the latter type in a 42-year-old man who was found dead at home after several months of fever and malaise. Postmortem computed tomography (PMCT) and autopsy were undertaken to clarify the cause of death.

To apply this method in subacute rehabilitation settings, this approach must be effective in these populations and implemented as a feasible method in terms of adherence and safety, especially the risk of falling. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility and efficacy of an activity monitoring approach in subacute rehabilitation using a commercially available pedometer validated with slow walking.

Hydroxyapatite (HA)-coated TiO (HA-TiO) was used to test the effect on dextran sulphate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis in mice.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA- and B-antigens are present on red blood cells (RBCs) as well as other cells and secretions in Hominoidea including humans and apes such as chimpanzees and gibbons, whereas expression of these antigens on RBCs is subtle in monkeys such as Japanese macaques. Previous studies have indicated that H-antigen expression has not completely developed on RBCs in monkeys. Such antigen expression requires the presence of H-antigen and A- or B-transferase expression in cells of erythroid lineage, although whether or not ABO gene regulation is associated with the difference of A- or B-antigen expression between Hominoidea and monkeys has not been examined.

A 75-year-old man died in a deeply frozen state. In PMCT, there was a lack of increase in the bilateral lung-field attenuation.

Because the tissue environments of peripheral blood vessels and the spleen are quite distinct, the properties of platelets present in each may also differ. However, no studies have addressed this difference.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFAromatic amides bearing secondary amide bond exist in trans conformation both in the crystal and in solution, whereas the conformation of the -methylated derivatives is cis in the crystal and predominantly cis in various solvents. The cis conformational preference of -alkylated benzanilide provides access to aromatic foldamers such as oligo(-alkyl--benzamide)s, which adopt dynamic helical structures. Here, the conformational properties of imidazole-substituted amide in the crystal and in solution were examined.

We conducted a nationwide cross-sectional questionnaire study on 221 survivors with allogeneic-HSCT in 28 pediatric centers. Patient-reported QOL was assessed at a single time point using the 36-item Short-Form Survey (SF-36), the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Bone Marrow Transplant (FACT-BMT), and VAS scores.

CDKN3 serves as a cell cycle regulator and its dysregulation is considered to be a causal factor for tumor progression. However, the molecular basis of the regulation of CDKN3 expression remains largely elusive.

Emergent coronary angiography demonstrated 2-vessel disease with 90% stenosis in the proximal segment of the left anterior descending artery (LAD) with Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) grade 3 flow, and 75% in the mid portion and 90% in the distal portion of the right coronary artery, without collateral flow to LAD. A drug-eluting stent was deployed at the proximal LAD, and the flow of the diagonal branch deteriorated to TIMI grade 1 flow on the final angiogram.
