We report a case of concurrent multifocal diffuse large B cell lymphoma and malakoplakia of colorectum in a 36-year-old man presenting with recurrent bloody diarrhoea. Malakoplakia has been described in association with a variety of malignant and nonmalignant conditions. To the best of our knowledge, this is the third report of coexistence or association of malignant non-Hodgkin lymphoma and malakoplakia in the literature, and the first report ever in the colorectum.

Objective: To determine whether or not the Pap smear taker is reporting the clinical appearance of the cervix on the cytology request form, and if cytologist / smear taker are giving any importance to this information prior to issuing advice on subsequent follow-up. Finally, to evaluate the clinicians' response to normal Pap smear report in the absence of the clinical comment on the cervix.

Methods: A retrospective study, for a total of 1196 random smear results performed between 1999 and 2000 at King Fahad National Guard Hospital, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its relevant charts were evaluated.

Objective: To assess the accuracy of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)/serum ratio of beta-subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin (beta-hCG) in detecting brain metastasis of gestational trophoblastic tumor (GTT).

Study Design: The subjects were ten patients with GTT and brain metastases. Spinal puncture and veni-puncture were performed for measurement of beta-hCG titer in CSF and serum to determine the CSF/serum ratio before starting multiagent chemotherapy and/or brain irradiation.

A left internal auditory canal (IAC) cavernous haemangioma is reported in a 45-year-old Saudi male. The lesion was associated with rapidly deteriorating hearing loss and facial nerve dysfunction. CT showed a calcified enhanced IAC lesion while T1 weighted MRI showed an isointense contrast enhancing lesion bulging into the porus acousticus.
