Introduction: Retinal capillary hemangioma (RCH) is a benign vascular hamartoma that can occur sporadically or as a manifestation of Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease. If left untreated, it results in adverse ocular complications depending on its location and eventual visual loss.

Case Presentation: We present a 50-year-old man who was a known case of VHL with history of left eye vision loss in the left eye at the age of 30 years.

Introduction: Paranasal sinus mucoceles are epithelialized cystic masses formed through the accumulation of sterile mucus. Mucoceles are expansile lesions, and their symptoms change according to their extension into the surrounding structures: anteriorly to the subcutaneous tissue, laterally to the orbit, or posteriorly to the cranium. Herein, we report the case of a pediatric patient with an isolated subcutaneous mucocele with no sinus connection.

Article Synopsis
  • Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignant tumor primarily affecting the salivary and lacrimal glands, but orbital ACC can occur without lacrimal gland involvement, leading to severe complications including intracranial invasion.
  • A case study details a 47-year-old man exhibiting symptoms like bilateral proptosis and left-sided ophthalmoplegia, with imaging revealing an infiltrative mass that invaded the skull base and cavernous sinus, yet the lacrimal gland appeared unaffected.
  • Treatment for advanced cases of orbital ACC, like in this patient, often leans towards palliative radiotherapy instead of exenteration, highlighting the need for early detection to manage the high morbidity and mortality associated with such cases.

Two patients presented with cholesterol granuloma (CG), with completely different patterns of orbital roof involvement. One patient had a large intraorbital cystic CG, whereas the other had a very large intraosseous CG of the frontal bone. The presentation of CG with variable orbital roof involvement highlights the importance of being aware of the clinical characteristics and the imaging features of CG.

Purpose: To evaluate treatment outcomes of unilateral versus bilateral congenital nasolacrimal duct (NLD) obstruction in patients with Down syndrome and highlight the effect of associated features that could result in poor outcomes.

Methods: A total of 34 lacrimal drainage systems (LDSs) were treated in 22 patients with Down syndrome who had a mean age of 47 (± 41.8) months.
