Objective: This research was carried out in a single group, pretest-post-test design in order to determine the effect of education on care burden and life quality of caregivers provided to caregivers of patients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease who received healthcare at their home.
Material And Methods: The population of the study was composed of 35 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease living in the city center and receiving home health care and the caregivers of these patients. Research data were obtained by using the Caregiver Information Form, Patient Information Form, Caregiver Burden Inventory, and World Health Organization Quality of Scale-Bref Quality of Life Scale.
Aim: The objective was to determine the effect of a regular walking program on physical activity (the number of steps and walking duration), dyspnoea severity, and quality of life in normal weight, overweight, and obese patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Method: An experimental study; 50 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted to the respiratory clinic of a public hospital in Turkey between November 2014 and July 2015 were included. All the patients underwent a regular walking program (at least 30 minutes every day) using a pedometer for 16 weeks under the supervision of a nurse.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the effect of nonpharmacological intervention training on delirium recognition and the intervention strategies of intensive care (ICU) nurses.
Method: This is a quasi-experimental study conducted using a pretest-posttest design. The study sample included a total of 95 patients staying in the medical ICU of a university hospital and 19 nurses working in these units.
