Background: Motor coordination (MC) is one of the main components of motor competence. Children with Intellectual disabilities (ID) usually have weaknesses in MC and related components. Therefore, the aim of study was to investigate the effect of mini-basketball training (MBT) versus general physical education programs on improving the motor coordination of children with intellectual disabilities ID.

Background: Millions of people worldwide suffer from back pain and muscle weakness due to adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). It has been found that Schroth exercises (SE) are the most effective treatment for AIS. However, it is still not clear how combining SE with asymmetric spinal stabilization exercises (ASSE) can impact back pain and trunk extensor muscle endurance (TE).

Background: Dynamic knee valgus (DKV) accompanied by poor balance is the cause of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in athletes, and the identification and correction of these factors are always of interest to researchers. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of the STOP-X program on the knee valgus angle and static and dynamic balance in female basketball players with DKV defects.

Methods: The present study was a quasi-experimental study.

Objectives: The available evidence on the efficiency of well-known Schroth's exercises (SE) for correcting adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is limited, especially in combination with the asymmetric spinal stabilization exercises (ASSE) method. Therefore, we hypothesized that, first, there is no difference in the efficiency of the combined exercises (SE+ASSE) and SE alone in improving Cobb angle, angle of trunk rotation (ATR), and quality of life (QoL) in AIS. Second, there is no difference in the efficiency of SE and no intervention on corresponding variables in treating AIS.

Background: Wheelchair athletes, as a group of elite athletes who participate in high-level sports activities, are constantly exposed to musculoskeletal injuries and disorders due to their frequent use of wheelchairs and overworked upper limbs. In this study, we investigated the effect of elastic band exercises on the extent of athletes' forward head angle, kyphosis, rounded shoulder, and pain scores.

Methods: Twenty-six male and female wheelchair athletes with spinal cord injuries (age: 27.

Objective: The aging population is growing in the world, and the reduction in physical function caused by this is an important issue that, particularly, causes a disorder of balance and an increased risk of falling. This study aimed at the comparison between the effects of virtual reality training (VRT) and Conventional balance training (CBT) on the balance of the elderly.

Methods: The present study was conducted on 36 elderly (men and women) who are living in nursing homes.

Background: Posture instability and unsteady gait disorders in Parkinson's Disease (PD) usually contribute to fall-related fractures. Fall-related trauma in PD is the most common reason for injury. Despite providing modern care for PD patients (PP) in the recent years, anti-PD drugs have no effect on falling.

Objective: To determine whether fibular repositioning tape influenced the postural control performance in athletes with and without chronic ankle instability (CAI).

Setting: Research laboratory.

Design: A cross-sectional study, within subjects experimental study design between 4 ankle conditions (taped and untaped: CAI and healthy athletes).

Purpose: Ankle sprain is one of the most common injuries among athletes and instability and injury to this joint is responsible for long time loss of physical and recreational activity. Also, it can impose high costs to sport teams. Prevention of this injury is an important concern of practice and rehabilitation.
