Background: Symptomatic rotator cuff tears often undergo surgical repair, which may be paired with various augmentation strategies to enhance structural healing rates. While many randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluate augmentation techniques, the statistical robustness of many findings in these studies is unknown. This systematic review aims to evaluate the continuous fragility index (CFI) of RCTs on augmentation techniques for rotator cuff repairs.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify prognostic risk factors for prolonged opioid use at 2 and 6 weeks after hip arthroscopy using data from the Femoroacetabular Impingement RandomiSed controlled Trial and its external validation cohort study.
Methods: Opioids were prescribed for postoperative pain management at the surgeon's discretion, with a majority being prescribed a combination of oxycodone and paracetamol (5/325 mg). Prolonged opioid use was defined as the ongoing use of any dosage of opioids reported at either 2 or 6 weeks after surgery to treat femoroacetabular impingement, as recorded in the patient's study medication log.
Purpose: To compare pronator quadratus preserving (PQ-P) approaches with PQ dissecting (PQ-D) approaches in volar plate fixation of distal radius fractures (DRFs).
Methods: Three databases were searched on March 10th, 2024. The authors adhered to the PRISMA and R-AMSTAR guidelines and Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews.
Background: There is still controversy surrounding the routine use of vancomycin locally in primary orthopaedic surgery procedures. Therefore, the aim of this review is to assess how local vancomycin impacts the rates and microbiology of surgical site infections.
Methods: A systematic electronic search of MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Web of Science was carried out for all comparative studies comparing locally applied vancomycin to control for primary orthopaedic surgery procedures published before August 14, 2022.
Purpose: To evaluate the utility of semitendinosus tendon (ST) and gracilis tendon (GT) cross-sectional area (CSA) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and anthropometric characteristics in preoperative estimation of graft diameter in patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) with four-strand hamstring autografts.
Methods: Three databases were searched on 29 August 2023. The authors adhered to the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) and R-AMSTAR (Revised Assessment of Multiple Systematic Review) guidelines and the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions.

Purpose: There remains a lack of consensus around autograft selection in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR), though there is a large body of overlapping systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Systematic reviews and their methodological quality were aimed to be further assessed, using a validated tool known as assessing the methodological quality of systematic reviews (AMSTAR-2).
Methods: MEDLINE, Embase and CENTRAL were searched from inception to 23 April 2023 for systematic reviews (with/without meta-analysis) comparing primary ACLR autografts.
Background: Evidence-based care relies on robust research. The fragility index (FI) is used to assess the robustness of statistically significant findings in randomized controlled trials (RCTs). While the traditional FI is limited to dichotomous outcomes, a novel tool, the continuous fragility index (CFI), allows for the assessment of the robustness of continuous outcomes.

Objectives: To synthesize all-cause complications and reoperations data, and secondary clinical, functional, and radiographic outcomes after the management of very distal ulna fractures (VDUFs) either nonoperatively or operatively.
Data Sources: MEDLINE, Embase, and Web of Science were searched for English-language articles from inception to February 17, 2022.
Study Selection: Studies reporting the nonoperative or operative management of VDUFs were eligible for inclusion.
Importance: A paucity of clinical evidence surrounds the effect of the knee flexion angle during tibial fixation of the graft during anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. While biomechanical studies have recently sought to revive this area of study in both single- and double-bundle graft populations, they have done so using variants of the hamstring graft. This does not shed light on the optimal fixation of other autograft options, namely, the quadriceps tendon (QT) autograft.
