Several modifications have been made to the radiator's dimensions and materials as part of the evolution of the automotive cooling cycle. Coolant is an important factor that greatly affects the efficiency of the cooling cycle. In applications involving heat transmission, nanofluids have become a viable possibility coolant.

Eutrophication and the associated algal blooms is a pervasive problem affecting global health, aquaculture, agriculture, water-related industries, and freshwater ecosystems. Spring algal blooms (SABs), which are less common than summer blooms, occur during a time that is thought to be less advantageous due to mild winds, little precipitation, and a relatively small amount of NPS pollutants being transported. Thus, It is pertinent to understand further the factors influencing SABs directly and/or indirectly for improved management.

Effective management of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) requires understanding factors influencing their occurrence. This study explores these dynamics in the Pengxi River, a tributary of the Three Gorges Reservoir, focusing on nutrient stratification and algal blooms. We hypothesized that nutrient levels in eutrophic waters with stable stratification correlate with HAB magnitude and that disruption of stratification triggers blooms due to nutrient shifts.

Introduction: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common disorder with major neurocognitive and cardiovascular sequelae. The treatment of symptomatic patients with mild OSA remains controversial given that adherence to positive airway pressure (PAP) has historically been suboptimal. With this notion in mind, we assessed a daily transoral neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) device for individuals with mild OSA.

Background: In a bid to end the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, many countries, including the UK, have rolled out mass immunisation programmes. While considered generally safe and effective, vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 have been reported to be associated with rare and potentially adverse reactions and side effects.

Case Report: This paper reports an unusual case of a patient who developed a unilateral vocal fold paralysis shortly after receiving the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca ChAdOx1 nCov-19 vaccine.

Evaluating daytime neuromuscular electrical training (NMES) of tongue muscles in individuals with Primary Snoring and Mild Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). A multicenter prospective study was undertaken in patients with primary snoring and mild sleep apnea where daytime NMES (eXciteOSA Signifier Medical Technologies Ltd., London W6 0LG, UK) was used for 20 min once daily for 6 weeks.

Purpose: To ascertain the usefulness of a novel intraoral neuromuscular stimulation device in treating patients with primary snoring and mild obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). This device uses daytime awake neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) as an application to induce toning of the tongue muscles.

Methods: A prospective cohort study of 70 patients with sleep-disordered breathing was conducted.

Selection criteria The inclusion criteria of this systematic review were patients undergoing dental implant placement. Only randomised clinical trials (RCTs) that compared placebo, no antibiotic and/or any type of antibiotics, administered pre-operatively, intra-operatively, post-operatively or combinations of these, at any dose and for any duration were considered eligible. Included RCTs were required to have a follow up period of at least three months with at least 20 patients per treatment arm.

Purpose: Trans-oral robotic surgery (TORS) is increasingly employed in obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) management. Objective outcomes are generally assessed through polysomnography. Pre-operative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be a useful adjunct in objective upper airway assessment, in particular the tongue base, providing useful information for surgical planning and outcome assessment, though care must be taken in patient positioning during surgery.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to determine a tinnitus patient information pack's (TPIP) usefulness in patients suffering with tinnitus with respect to their need for further tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT) and in reducing TRT cancellations and non-attenders.

Design/methodology/approach: The paper consists of prospective case series in a district general hospital ENT out-patient department.

Findings: Patients with tinnitus-related symptoms constitute around 2 per cent of the ENT OPD workload at the West Middlesex Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster NHS Trust, London, i.

Objective: To measure the impact of an antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) program on the use of antibiotics for surgical prophylaxis at acute care hospitals in Egypt.

Methods: This was a before-and-after intervention study conducted in 5 tertiary, acute-care surgical hospitals. The baseline, intervention, and follow-up periods were 3, 6, and 3 months, respectively.

We present a new adaptive system for automated sleep staging. The proposed system relies on each subject's own data for self-training. Conventional automatic sleep staging algorithms are either rule based, which typically fail to accurately model the complex nature of sleep signals, or numerical methods that use multi-patient training schemes, which suffer from inaccuracies caused by inherent inter-patient variability.

Objective: To describe a previously unreported case of repair of a lateral frontal sinus cerebrospinal fluid leak, using the endoscopic modified Lothrop procedure.

Method: Case report of new technique, with reference to the world literature.

Results: An effective endoscopic, transnasal repair of a lateral frontal sinus cerebrospinal fluid leak was achieved in a 60-year-old man.

The results of the first 50 consecutive patients using the Graf stabilisation system are presented. The average age of the patients was 41 years; there were 32 women and 18 men in the group. All patients suffered from intractable symptomatic degenerative disc disease which could be localised to one or more levels.
