Analysis of COVID-19 Vaccine Adverse Drug Reactions Reported Among Sultan Qaboos University Hospital Staff.

Objectives: This study aimed to report any suspected adverse drug reactions (ADRs) experienced by all vaccinated staff and students in a tertiary teaching hospital following COVID-19 vaccination.

Methods: This retrospective study was conducted during the COVID-19 vaccination campaign at Sultan Qaboos University and Hospital in Muscat, Oman, from August to September 2021. An online survey was generated and sent to all staff and students via email and text messages.

Short-term effects of antimicrobial stewardship programs on antibiotics usage, clinical outcomes, and multidrug resistant organisms in the post COVID-19 era.

Background: Antimicrobial resistance is associated with increasing mortality rates and the emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) organisms. There is scarcity of data on the short-term impact of Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASP) on antibiotic usage, clinical outcome and MDR organisms' pattern following the COVID-19 pandemic. This study evaluated the short-term effects of ASP on antibiotic usage, clinical outcomes and MDR organisms' pattern in the post COVID-19 era.

Case Series of Cystic Echinococcosis Over a Twelve-year Period at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Oman.

Objectives: Cystic echinococcosis is a worldwide zoonosis that is endemic in many countries including some in the Middle East. Exact prevalence rates for human echinococcosis are unknown for Oman.

Methods: Following obtaining ethical approval, data from January 2010 to December 2021 were retrieved from hospital electronic records of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat.
