A monocular 22-year-old man with recalcitrant familial exudative vitreoretinopathy presented with progressive subretinal lipid exudation and lipid maculopathy that responded poorly to repeated aflibercept injections. The subretinal exudation started temporally and gradually progressed, involving the macula and the retinal periphery in all 4 quadrants. At the 22-month follow-up visit, macular and peripheral subretinal exudation persisted despite a total of 29 injections.

Purpose: This is a retrospective case report in which we describe our findings in two cases of endophthalmitis associated with perforating gunshot injury, in which we documented intraocular intrusion of multiple eyelashes as a plausible source of infection.
Patients And Methods: Two male patients, 22 and 29 years old, respectively, presented with endophthalmitis following primary repair of rupture globe secondary to gunshot injury. Both patients had vitrectomy and silicone oil injection.
Purpose: To report a novel finding of retinal arterial tortuosity (RAT) associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS).
Methods: We queried the STAnford Research Repository (STARR) database to identify patients diagnosed with EDS. We included patients with a confirmed diagnosis of any subtype of EDS who had any form of readable retinal imaging including colour fundus photos, autofluorescence, red-free photos, red-free optical coherence tomography photos and fluorescein angiography.

Purpose: To report unprompted closure of spontaneous macular hole secondary to inadvertent subfoveal perfluorocarbon liquid (PFCL) after vitrectomy surgery. . We present a case of a retained large single subfoveal PFCL droplet following vitrectomy and silicone oil injection for subtotal rhegmatogenous retinal detachment that showed spontaneous release 3 weeks postoperatively, with subsequent development of full thickness macular hole (FTMH) which completely closed later on after silicone oil removal without internal limiting membrane peeling with marvelous anatomic and visual improvement after spontaneous closure of MH.

Methods: A retrospective review of all patients with macular holes treated by PPV, ILM removal with gas tamponade from January 2014 to July 2017 in Magrabi Eye Hospital.
Results: One hundred fifty-seven eyes of 153 patients were analyzed.
Purpose: To report the long-term follow-up of patients with inadvertent retained submacular perfluorocarbon liquid (PFCL) bubbles after vitrectomy surgery.
Background: PFCL has unique chemical and physical features which facilitate displacement of subretinal fluid from central toward periphery allowing intraoperative reattachment of the mobile retina and manipulation of the anterior part of the detached retina without performing drainage retinotomy. Despite these advantages, PFCL droplets may be inadvertently retained in the submacular space.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety of high-dose intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide (IVTA) as affordable low-cost alternative to anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-vascular endothelial growth factor [anti-VEGF] agents) in lower-middle-income countries.
