Neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) have dramatically increased in prevalence to an alarming one in six children, and yet both causes and preventions remain elusive. Recent human epidemiology and animal studies have implicated developmental exposure to pyrethroid pesticides, one of the most common classes of pesticides in the US, as an environmental risk factor for autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our previous research has shown that low-dose chronic developmental pyrethroid exposure (DPE) changes folate metabolites in the adult mouse brain.

The glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonist tirofiban has been shown to prevent thromboembolic events during endovascular procedures, but the benefits and risks of its prophylactic early intraprocedural administration for stand-alone coil embolization of acutely ruptured aneurysms are still unclear. We conducted a retrospective single-center analysis of patients treated for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage with stand-alone coil embolization. Two study cohorts were compared according to the primary prophylactic antithrombotic medication during the procedure: patients receiving only intravenous heparin (HEP) versus patients receiving tirofiban in addition to heparin prior to final aneurysm obliteration (HEP + TF).

Background And Objectives: Moyamoya disease (MMD) is characterized by progressive steno-occlusion of the internal carotid arteries, leading to compensatory collateral vessel formation. The optimal surgical approach for MMD remains debated, with bilateral revascularization potentially offering more comprehensive protection but involving more extensive surgery compared to unilateral revascularization. This study aims to compare bilateral revascularization and unilateral revascularization short-term safety profile in the treatment of MMD.

Background: Quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) is an emerging MRI technique with multiple clinical applications. As tissue susceptibility cannot be directly measured using MRI, QSM imaging techniques must indirectly compute susceptibility values, requiring regularization methods. CSF is a popular choice for regularization due to its near water susceptibility in healthy controls.
