A diagnostic dilemma of an 18-week cervical ectopic pregnancy: A case report.

Introduction: Cervical ectopic pregnancy (CEP) is characterised by the implantation of trophoblastic tissue within the cervical canal and is associated with a significant risk of maternal morbidity and mortality. This case report addresses a second-trimester CEP with unusual sonographic features suspicious of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), which was successfully managed with an abdominal hysterectomy.

Case Presentation: A 27-year-old woman, G6P2, presented to the labour ward of a rural hospital at 18 weeks of gestation with premature rupture of membranes.

Safety and efficacy of external cephalic version after a previous caesarean delivery: A systematic review.

Background: External cephalic version (ECV) is a common procedure and has been shown to be safe and effective in turning a baby from a breech to cephalic presentation. However, whether ECV is safe and effective in women with a scarred uterus from a previous caesarean section remains contentious.

Aim: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of external cephalic version in women with a singleton breech pregnancy and at least one previous caesarean delivery.

Adhesive incisional drapes during cesarean delivery for preventing wound infection: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Objective: To compare the incidence of wound infection after cesarean delivery in procedures conducted using adhesive incisional drapes verses no adhesive incisional drapes.

Study Design: Searches were performed in electronic databases (MEDLINE, ClinicalTrials.gov, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Scopus, OVID, EMBASE, and the PROSPERO International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews).

Adolescent Premature Ovarian Insufficiency Following Human Papillomavirus Vaccination: A Case Series Seen in General Practice.

Three young women who developed premature ovarian insufficiency following quadrivalent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination presented to a general practitioner in rural New South Wales, Australia. The unrelated girls were aged 16, 16, and 18 years at diagnosis. Each had received HPV vaccinations prior to the onset of ovarian decline.

Systematic meta-analysis of individual selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor medications and congenital malformations.

Context: It has been suggested that the commonly prescribed class of antidepressants selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are associated with birth defects. However, the teratogenic effect of individual SSRIs has not been previously compared using meta-analysis.

Objective: To determine the strength of the association between individual SSRIs and major, minor, and cardiac malformation among infants born to women taking these medications.

Premature ovarian failure 3 years after menarche in a 16-year-old girl following human papillomavirus vaccination.

Premature ovarian failure in a well adolescent is a rare event. Its occurrence raises important questions about causation, which may signal other systemic concerns. This patient presented with amenorrhoea after identifying a change from her regular cycle to irregular and scant periods following vaccinations against human papillomavirus.
