Pleuropulmonary blastoma is a rare and highly aggressive pulmonary malignancy in children. Clinically, the malignancy is often mistaken for symptoms of respiratory tract infection or pneumothorax. The neoplasm is histologically characterized by primitive blastema and a malignant mesenchymal stroma that demonstrates multidirectional differentiation.
