Osteoradionecrosis (ORN) is a nemesis of radiotherapy which adversely affects the life of an individual. It is more often seen with conventional external beam radiotherapy using telecobalt machine. Newer radiotherapy techniques are being used in developed nations to circumvent its inherent disadvantages.

The nonlinear optical properties of push-pull chromophores, namely (E)-7-(4-bromophenyl)-2,5-bis(4-nitrophenyl)-3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2H-1,2-diazepin-4-ol (A-π-D-π-A) and (E)-7-(4-bromophenyl)-5-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-phenyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2H-1,2-diazepin-4-ol (A-π-D-π-D), have been investigated using the z-scan technique. NMR, FT-IR, and UV-visible spectral analysis have been performed. The results were compared with density functional theory calculations employing the B3LYP/6-311++G (d, p) basis set.

In this article, the structural and nonlinear optical behaviour of a chalcone derivative, (2E)-1-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one have been studied. FT-IR, FT-Raman, and NMR spectroscopy were analyzed to validate the molecular structure. To predict the nonlinear optical characteristics of the chalcone, the DFT approach was used and the experimental results were corroborated by the computations.

Subglottic Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Mimicking Bronchial Asthma: A Case Report.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare type of tumor that usually originates from minor salivary glands in the oral cavity. ACC of the larynx is even rare. This case study describes a 36-year-old non-smoking male farmer who initially presented with dyspnea and was misdiagnosed with bronchial asthma.

Rapid Response of Mediastinal Lymphoma to Corticosteroids During Diagnostic Evaluation: A Clinical Case Report.

Here, we report a case of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in a 21-year-old man who presented with symptoms of gastric discomfort, hematemesis, breathlessness, dry cough, chest pain, loss of appetite, and weight loss. He had a history of pleural effusion and was previously diagnosed with tuberculosis. Further investigations revealed a mediastinal mass.

Fabrication and Determination of the Sun Protection Factor and Ultraviolet Protection Factor for Piscean Collagen/Bischalcone Derivative (B1) Composite Films with Wide-Range UV Shielding.

The present study investigates the development of distinct UV-A and UV-B radiation filtering materials through the introduction of a heterocyclic bischalcone derivative [(3,5-bis{[4-(methylsulfanyl)phenyl]methylidene}piperidin-4-one] () into the matrix of PVA/Piscean collagen blend films (1:1) prepared through the solution casting method and characterized. The dopant concentration varied from 0.25 to 4%.

Evaluation of soft and hard tissue changes after anterior segmental osteotomy.

Objective: To determine the relationship between the changes of soft and hard tissues after anterior segmental osteotomy and to evaluate these changes using cepahalometric and photometric analyses.

Materials And Methods: Ten patients aged 18-30 years who underwent anterior segmental osteotomy were included in the study. Preoperative and postoperative records consisted of lateral cephalogram and frontal and lateral photographs.
