Objective: Despite knowledge that health outcomes vary according to patient characteristics, identity, and geography, including underrepresented populations in arthritis research remains a challenge. We conducted interviews to explore how researchers in arthritis have used equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles to inform their research.

Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with individuals who 1) have experience conducting arthritis research studies; 2) reside in and/or conduct their research in Canada; and 3) speak English or French.

Making Video Games More Inclusive for People Living With Motor Neuron Disease: Scoping Review.

Background: Evidence suggests that individuals with motor neuron disease (MND), a terminal illness, find enjoyment and social connection through video games. However, MND-related barriers can make gaming challenging, exacerbating feelings of boredom, stress, isolation, and loss of control over daily life.

Engaging adolescents and young people as partners in research is increasingly acknowledged as a vital strategy to ensure diverse voices are heard and to catalyze social change. This article, coauthored by adolescent and adult researchers, presents the methodological approach and outcomes of a youth-led participatory action research (YPAR) study in which three teams of youth researchers developed and implemented projects examining equity-related factors affecting adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (ASRHR) in Ontario, Canada. Teams of four assigned-female youth researchers aged 16-19 years were recruited from three priority regions through purposive sampling.

The aim of this study is to explicate the professional identity of instructors who implement a CRE within an established iREC and to explore how this identity contributes to the success of these programs.

This study investigates the production of lignin/silica hybrid nanoparticles (LSNPs) from rice husks, an abundant agricultural waste, and their capacity to stabilize Pickering emulsions for biocatalysis. Lignin extracted from rice husks under alkaline conditions was co-precipitated with silica to produce LSNPs in the presence or absence of ethanol as a co-solvent. Characterization of LSNPs revealed that ethanol played a key role in forming uniform, spherical nanoparticles and minimizing aggregation.
