Spontaneous, nontraumatic intracerebral hemorrhage is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality throughout the world. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is the most common cancer diagnosed in children. According to the literature, only 6 cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia presenting as intracerebral hemorrhage have been reported.

Hypoglossal neurinomas are rare tumors that present with gradually worsening unilateral wasting of the tongue. The tumors often attain large size prior to detection and often extend into the hypoglossal canal. Large tumors can distort the brainstem and cerebellum.

The underlying molecular mechanisms are poorly understood and thought to be mediated through membrane water-channels: aquaporins (AQP1,4,9). The abnormal upregulation of AQP1 in certain glial neoplasms has suggested a potential role in tumor pathogenesis, apart from being a novel target for newer therapeutic regimen.

These tumors have a predilection for the lateral ventricles of young adults and are known to display characteristic neuroimaging and histomorphologic features. Typically, CNs are associated with a favorable outcome, although cases with more aggressive clinical course with recurrences are not unknown.

Histologically, it bears an uncanny resemblance to oligodendroglioma, central neurocytoma, hemangioblastoma and metastasis from clear cell carcinoma. Here, we report a rare case of clear cell ependymoma in a 45-year-old male, which histomorphologically resembled anaplastic oligodendroglioma on intraoperative smears, frozen section and routine light microscopy.

He presented with complaints of headache, repeated episodes of vomiting and increasing unsteadiness of gait. Neuroimaging showed a large multicystic left-sided tentorial tumor projecting into the cerebellum and CPA with contrast-enhancing peripheral solid rim.

He presented with complaints of global headache, progressively increasing loss of memory, and frequent episodes of abnormal behavior, of 1 month duration. At the time of hospital admission, his general and neurological examination was normal.

Aim: The objective of the study is to highlight the advantages and limitations of transciliary supraorbital keyhole craniotomy for clipping of these aneurysms.
Materials And Methods: We present our experience with 55 intracranial aneurysms in the anterior circulation in 52 consecutive patients (23 females and 29 males, age range 22-70 years) operated between 2003 and 2009.
Organ donation following brain stem death is infrequent in India. There is no prospective study on prevalence of brain stem death and causes of non-donation. Consecutive patients admitted to intensive care unit from Sep 2006 to Sep 2008 were studied prospectively.

Some ectopic cell rests can become adenomatous. Rarely, these cell rests in the clivus can be the site of formation of adenoma.

The origin of these tumors can be traced to embryological invagination of arachnoid cells into the choroid plexus. The authors analyzed data that they had collected to study the clinicopathological aspects and review the origin, presentation, imaging, and management of these tumors.
