Primary breast rhabdomyosarcoma in a 17-year-old girl.

Primary rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) of breast is a very rare malignancy usually affecting adolescent girls with a poor prognosis and no definitive treatment established. Here, we report a case of a 17-year-old girl who presented to us operated for a right breast mass with histopathology suggestive of RMS. She had undergone wide local excision with nipple-areola complex along with axillary node dissection for positive nodes.

WS-Nanosheet-Modified Electrodes as an Efficient Electrochemical Sensing Platform for the Nonenzymatic Detection of the Insecticide Imidacloprid.

Imidacloprid (IMI) is a systemic insecticide, which is widely used for seed treatment and pest control in vegetables. The unwarranted presence of traces of IMI in vegetables and groundwater is a matter of grave concern which needs to be detected and quantified in order to effect remedial measures for the sake of food safety. In this work, we communicate the fabrication of tungsten sulfide (WS) nanosheets and the construction of an amperometric sensor for the precise determination of IMI.

Integration of Consolidation Chemotherapy After Concurrent Chemoradiation in the Treatment of Locally Advanced Uterine Cervical Cancer.

Background: Despite the current standard of concurrent chemoradiation (CCRT), around 30-40% are still dying from locally advanced cervical cancer. Increasing the radiation dose further was not a feasible option, but addition of chemotherapy further was tried due to the different toxicity profiles of it. So, the use of consolidation chemotherapy beyond CCRT has been studied.

Vapour confinement as a strategy to fabricate metal and bimetallic nanostructures.

Metal nanostructures have attracted much attention in biomedical, plasmonic, hydrogen storage, and high-energy battery applications. However, the synthesis of various nanostructures of highly reactive elements ( Mg) is still a difficult task and no single-approach has been reported for synthesizing such nanostructures. In this work, we produced magnesium nanoparticles (NPs), nanowires (NWs) and nanoneedles (NNs) in a single-approach, based on thermal evaporation without any carrier gas.
