Characterization of Forced Degradation Products of Netarsudil: Optimization and Validation of a Stability-Indicating RP-HPLC Method for Simultaneous Quantification of Process-Related Impurities.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to examine resolution, identification, and characterization of forced degradation products of netarsudil by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry by validating a simple and sensitive high-performance liquid chromatography method for the resolution, identification, and quantification of two process-related impurities in netarsudil.

Materials And Methods: Chromatographic separation was accomplished on a ZORBAX Eclipse XDB C18 (250 x 4.6 mm; 5 µ id) column at room temperature as the stationary phase and 257 nm as the detector wavelength with the mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile, methanol, and pH 4.

Stalk rot species diversity and molecular phylogeny associated with diseased maize in India.

Stalk rot disease is a major constraint in maize production and till date reported to be caused by two to three species of phytopathogenic fungi but, in our present study, we disclose the first report of stalk rot is caused by complex species of phytopathogens, which belongs to five different genera. Therefore, to substantiate these findings, a total of 105 diseased samples of maize were collected from 21 different locations in six different geographical locations of India from which 48 isolates were used for the research study. Morphological features such as pigmentation, colony color, type of mycelium and pattern of mycelium was examined using macro and microscopic methods.

The Experience of Organizing Blood Donation Camp through Student Initiative.

Introduction: A blood donation camp was organized in the institute which was a student initiative and a street play on blood donation awareness was carried out at different parts of the institute. For this reason, the study aimed at assessing the knowledge, attitude, and practises among the voluntary donors was carried out to bring out further awareness programs.

Conservative management of giant hepatic mesenchymal hamartoma.

We report a six-month-old male infant with mesenchymal hamartoma of the liver which was left untreated. Repeat CT scan 1 year later showed regression and calcification of the tumor. The child is well 3 years later.

Pelviureteric junction obstruction: how much is the extent of the upper ureter with defective innervation needing resection?

Background/purpose: It is well realized that Anderson-Hyne's pyeloplasty fails to improve the drainage pattern and renal functional parameters in a few cases of hydronephrosis because of pelviureteric junction (PUJ) obstruction. The purpose of this study is to delineate the lower extent of the abnormally innervated pelviureteric junction by S-100 immunohistochemistry, which requires surgical removal.

Methods: Thirty pelviureteric junction (PUJ) specimens were analyzed by histology and by S-100 immunohistochemistry after serial sectioning of the resected ureter and compared with the variables age, calyceal separation, parenchymal thickness, differential renal function, glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and the measured constricted ureteral segment on gross examination.

Crohn's disease: disastrous consequences of late diagnosis.

Chronic and recurrent perianal abscess is an uncommon condition in children. Tuberculosis is thought to be the common etiology for such a presentation in India. We report a case of a child with colonic and perianal disease due to Crohn's disease and emphasize the disastrous complication due to delayed diagnosis.

Non-syndromic paucity of interlobular bile ducts.

A 3 1/2-month-old male infant presented with cholestatic jaundice. Peroperative cholangiogram showed a gall bladder and small but patent extrahepatic bile ducts. Liver histology showed paucity of interlobular bile ducts.
