The semiconducting nature of CeFeO/CeO/FeO nanocomposite has permitted the degradation of the organic toxic dye methylene blue under the irradiation of ultraviolet and visible light portions of solar radiation. Fullprof-assisted Rietveld refinement analysis, performed using the Match software, has revealed the orthorhombic nature of CeFeO. In addition, in the synthesized material, the cubic phase byproduct CeO was found due to the highly oxidizing nature of the cerium element.

This paper proposes a knowledge-based decision-making system for energy bill assessment and competitive energy consumption analysis for energy savings. As humans have a tendency toward comparison between peers and self-groups, the same concept of competitive behavior is utilized to design knowledge-based decision-making systems. A total of 225 house monthly energy consumption datasets are collected for Maharashtra state, along with a questionnaire-based survey that includes socio-demographic information, household appliances, family size, and some other parameters.

The Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP), a mathematical framework for decision-making in uncertain environments suffers from the curse of dimensionality. There are various methods that can handle huge sizes of POMDP matrices to create approximate solutions, but no serious effort has been reported to effectively control the size of the POMDP matrices. Manually creating the high-dimension matrices of a POMDP model is a cumbersome and sometimes even impossible task.

Ornamental fish trade represents an important economic sector with an export turnover that reached approximately 5 billion US dollars in 2018. Despite its high economic importance, this sector does not receive much attention. Ornamental fish husbandry still faces many challenges and losses caused by transport stress and handling and outbreak of diseases are still to be improved.

The present paper presents an overview of the effects of gut microbiota and probiotics on lipid-, carbohydrate-, protein- and amino acid metabolism in fish and shrimp. In probiotic fish studies, the zebrafish () model is the most frequently used, and probiotic administration reveals the effect on glucose homeostasis, anti-lipidemic effects and increasing short-chain fatty acids, and increased expressions of genes related to carbohydrate metabolism and innate immunity, along with down-regulation of oxidative stress-related genes. Further, improved length of the intestinal villi and expression of nutrient transporters in fish owing to probiotics exposure have been documented.

Individual and combined efficacy of chitooligosaccharides (COS) and alginic acid (AA) at 1 g, 2 g, and 3 g per kg diet was assessed on growth and disease resistance in silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) against Edwardsiella ictaluri. Growth parameters including specific growth rate (SGR), weight gain (WG), and feed conversion rate (FCR) were significant in fish fed 2 g and 3 g kg of COS or AA, and fish fed combined COS + AA at 1, 2 and 3 kg diet. In all groups, the survival rate (SR) was recorded 100%, except in group fed 2 g kg AA diet.

Introduction: Risk factor control is an important predictor of risk of stroke recurrence. The attributable fraction which estimates the excess risk among the exposed stroke survivors has not been studied previously. We studied the attributable fraction for stroke recurrence in consecutive incident cases of recurrent stroke.

The effect of four level of Astragalus polysaccharides (APs) supplementation diets, (CD: control diet and three experiment diet (E), EA: 100 mg kg APs; EB: 200 mg kg-1 APs; EC: 300 mg kg APs) on growth, changes in haemato-biochemical parameters and metabolic-digestive enzymes, enhancement of antioxidant activity, innate-adaptive immune response, and cytokine gene expression were studied in catla (Catla catla) against Edwardsiella tarda. The healthy and challenged groups fed the CD displayed no mortality, while fish fed EA or EC revealed 10% mortality, but the mortality was only 5% in diet EB. Fish fed diet EB and EC revealed significantly better growth rates and high RBC count during the experimental period.

The current study addressed to investigate the effect of lycopene (LYC) on blood physiology, digestive-antioxidant enzyme activity, specific-nonspecific immune response, and inflammatory gene transcriptional regulation (cytokines, heat shock proteins, vitellogenins) in spotted snakehead (Channa punctata) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In unchallenged and challenged fish treated with 200 mg LYC enriched diet the growth performance and digestive-antioxidant enzymes increased after 30 days, whereas with inclusion of 100 or 400 mg LYC in the diets, the increase manifested on or after 45 days. No mortality in fish treated with any LYC diet against P.

GR15 is a short molecule or peptide composed of aliphatic amino acids and possesses to have antioxidant properties. The GR15, GGGAFSGKDPTKVDR was identified from the protein S-adenosylmethionine synthase (SAMe) expressed during the sulfur departed state of Arthrospira platensis (spirulina or cyanobacteria). The in-silico assessment and the structural features of GR15 showed its antioxidant potency.

Aims: The study examined that morin as possible antioxidant and neuroprotective due to oxidative stress (HO) in zebrafish larval model.

Materials And Methods: Zebrafish larvae were induced with oxidative stress using HO at 1 mM; their behavioural changes were assessed through partition preference and horizontal compartment test. The head section without eyes and yolk sac of zebrafish larvae were employed for enzyme assays such as SOD, CAT, Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances assay, reduced glutathione, glutathione peroxidase activity, glutathione S transferase, Acetylcholinesterase activity and nitrate levels.
