Short-term memory loss is a common complication after intracranial hemorrhage or traumatic brain injury. FDA-approved cholinesterase inhibitors for memory symptoms of Alzheimer's disease have not been proven effective for improving memory impairment resulting from a hemorrhagic event. The purpose of this case study was to present the potential effectiveness of a compounded nasal spray containing methylcobalamin in improving short-term memory function in a patient post-intracranial hemorrhage.

Methods: Following institutional review board approval, 122 participants were randomly assigned to either an online or classroom environment for the lecture portion of the course. All participants attended weekly laboratory sessions in person.
Objective: The purpose of this case report is to describe a patient with a fracture of the Stieda process.
Clinical Features: A 39-year-old woman presented with pain and swelling of her left ankle immediately following a boogie boarding accident a few days earlier. Her clinical presentation was similar to that of an ankle sprain.
Tetralogy of Fallot is a congenital disease caused by structural defects within the heart that can lead to cyanosis. The purpose of this case report is to discuss the use of PracaSil-Plus, a proprietary topical anhydrous silicone base containing pracaxi oil, in scar-management therapy, following open-heart surgery on a pediatric patient with tetralogy of Fallot. The Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale was the research instrument used to evaluate for efficacy of the scar therapy.

The present study examined the attitudes toward homosexual behavior of veterans of United States military service and nonveterans. Using a nationwide survey as the database, 1,293 veterans did not differ from 2,330 nonveterans in approval of homosexual behavior, as over 74% of each group expressed disapproval.

There remains a lack of definitive evidence regarding the etiology of pars defects, though evidence is mounting in favor of micro-trauma. Approximation of the articular facets, as occurs in subjects with increased sacral base angles, may result in greater stress to this area, leading to the development of pars defects. Alternatively, pars defects may facilitate approximation of the articular facets, resulting in a higher sacral base angle.

A sample of 79 United States Air Force Academy cadets was used to determine mean maximal oxygen consumption and percent body fat values for the cadet wing. The individuals selected represented all four classes and included no intercollegiate athletes. Maximal oxygen consumption testing was completed on a bicycle ergometer and percent body fat measurements were accomplished by the Wright-Wilmore method.
