Background: Schistosomiasis or snail fever is an endemic parasitic infection caused by various trematodes of the genus People acquire the disease through contact with water containing infected snails. It is one of the most widespread human parasitic infections in tropical and subtropical regions of the world such as Africa, South America, the Middle East, Asia and the Caribbean. Background: Foreign body in the lower urinary tract has a low incidence. Here we discuss a case of a safety pin within the bulbar urethra inserted by a young boy for sexual gratification, which was successfully removed under cysto-urethroscopic guidance.

Necrotizing fasciitis (NF) is an aggressive and life-threatening infection of skin and soft tissue characterized by widespread fascial necrosis, leads to gross morbidity and mortality if left untreated. Although MRSA has become a common isolate associated with skin and soft tissue infections globally over the past few years, monomicrobial MRSA NF has been reported only in a few studies. Our case represents the development of NF followed by trivial trauma salvaged with daptomycin and amputation of the affected limb.
