Sinus Histiocytosis with Massive Lymphadenopathy is a very rare condition often presenting as neck swelling of unknown etiology. The disease involves extranodal sites in 20-30 percent of cases and histologically characterized by emperiopolesis, non-cohesive and non-epitheloid histocytes with abundant eosinphilic cytoplasm. An ideal treatment is yet to be established but here we present a short series of chemotherapy with alternating ABVD and COPD cycles giving satisfactory results.

Unilateral involvement of the breast in a woman presenting at an average age of 29 years was the commonest observation. A lump in the breast with or without discharging sinuses was the most common clinical presentation.

Although mechanisms of nuclear-cytoskeletal attachment are unclear, growing evidence links a novel family of nuclear envelope (NE) proteins that share a conserved C-terminal SUN (Sad1/UNC-84 homology) domain. Analysis of Caenorhabditis elegans mutants has implicated UNC-84 in actin-mediated nuclear positioning by regulating NE anchoring of a giant actin-binding protein, ANC-1.

An adult male patient is described, who had a painless swelling in the right forehead that had rapidly enlarged in the previous 6 months. Radiological investigations showed a large destructive mass lesion involving the right side of the frontal bone with extension into the frontal sinus, causing marked extradural compression of brain parenchyma.

Early diagnosis of osteomyelitis is of paramount importance to avoid irreversible sequelae. This often requires a multimodal approach. The purpose of the present study was primarily to evaluate how ultrasound might be useful in early diagnosis of osteomyelitis in the paediatric age group.

The present study is an attempt to draw the attention towards the similarities and differences between macrodactyly of the hand and foot. Radiographical, operative findings and histopathological examination of five cases are included in the present study.

In this study, we evaluated the effect of treatment of burn rats with pentoxifylline (PTX) on the burn-induced suppression of T lymphocytes. Anesthetized rats were subjected to 30% total body surface area burn by exposing skin to 95 degrees C water for 10 s.

Iniencephaly is a rare congenital anomaly which is a type of neural tube defect. Babies with iniencephaly are almost always still born but exceptionally live born cases are reported. This article reports a case of a live born iniencephalic baby who died about 15 minutes after birth.

We have developed an in vivo rat model to study the effects of burn injury along with intra-abdominal inoculation of Enterococcus faecalis. We hypothesized that although burn injury or E.

Previous studies from our laboratory have shown that such suppression of T cell proliferation in burn and sepsis could result from alteration in T cell activation signaling molecule p59fyn. In this study, we examined the role of downstream signaling molecules NFAT and AP-1 in PGE2-mediated suppression of T cell in burn injury.

Utilizing a rat model of burn injury, in the present study we examined the role of intestinal immune defense by analyzing the T cell functions. We investigated if intestinal T cells dysfunction contributes to bacterial translocation after burn injury.

Trypticase phytone peptone yeast extract agar (TPY) was used as a selective media for the isolation. Morphological examination of the isolates indicated that Bifidobacteria was Gram-positive rods in nature, curved with characteristics of V and Y shapes.
