The treatment of ammonia nitrogen wastewater (ANW) has garnered significant attention due to the ecology, and even biology is under increasing threat from over discharge ANW. Conventional ANW treatment methods often encounter challenges such as complex processes, high costs and secondary pollution. Considerable progress has been made in employing solar-induced evaporators for wastewater treatment.

Large Language Models (LLMs) provide new insights into diabetes training, but their performance in diabetes-related queries remains uncertain, especially outside the English language like Chinese. We first evaluated the performance of ten LLMs: ChatGPT-3.

While traditional breeding methods are commonly used, they lack precision and are time-consuming. This study integrates phenotypic data from Tarim pigeons and White King pigeons with genomic information, using genome-wide association analysis (GWAS) to identify genetic markers associated with key economic traits, thereby accelerating the breeding process.

However, the risk factors for postoperative VTE after hip arthroscopy remain a topic of debate. In this study, we aimed to quantitatively and comprehensively identify risk factors for postoperative VTE after hip arthroscopy, providing evidence for the development of clinical prevention strategies.

Compared with other etiologies, patients with HTG-AP may develop more severe AP, but previous studies yielded controversial conclusion due to the lack of adequate adjustment for the confounders. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine the possibility and risk factors of developing severe AP in HTG-AP.

However, it remains largely unknown that how transcription factors directly sense HO in eukaryotes. Here, we report that rice basic/helix-loop-helix transcription factor bHLH25 directly senses HO to confer resistance to multiple diseases caused by fungi or bacteria.

Here we utilize bisulfite-induced deletion sequencing to generate transcriptome-wide Ψ maps at single-base resolution across various plant species. Integrating ribosomal RNA, transfer RNA and messenger RNA Ψ stoichiometry with mRNA abundance and polysome profiling data, we uncover a multilayered regulation of translation efficiency through Ψ modifications.

Current computational approaches attempt to overcome these limitations by imputing missing genes, but face challenges regarding prediction accuracy and identification of cell populations due to the neglect of gene-gene relationships. In this context, we present stImpute, a method to impute spatial transcriptomics according to reference scRNA-seq data based on the gene network constructed from the protein language model ESM-2.

Traditional kinesiology tape (KT) is an elastic fabric tape that clinicians and sports trainers widely use for managing ankle sprains. However, inadequate mechanical properties, adhesive strength, water resistance, and micro-damage generation could affect the longevity of the tape on the skin during physical activity and sweating. Therefore, autonomous room-temperature self-healing elastomers with robust mechanical properties and adequate adhesion to the skin are highly desirable to replace traditional KT.

Objectives: This study aims to assess the influence of the lockdown measures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic on Chinese college students' Body Mass Index (BMI) through a three-year cohort study.
Methods: We recruited 6156 college students (n = 4,248, 69% male, and n = 1,908, 31% female, with an average age of 18.
Polylactide/ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (PLA/EVOH) blends and fibers with different weight ratios were prepared by melt blending, and two-step melt spinning, respectively. PLA and EVOH in PLA/EVOH blends were immiscible. When EVOH content was ≤60 %, EVOH with the average diameter of about 3 μm was dispersed in PLA matrix uniformly.

However, the detection efficiency of imaging plates is affected by alpha particle energy, types of imaging plates, and the overlapping effect. In this study, simulations were performed to analyze the relationship between detection efficiency and these three influence factors.
