Background: Due to a special hemodynamic feature, pulmonary vascular disease in pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with congenital heart disease (PAH-CHD) has two stages: reversible and irreversible. So far, the mechanism involved in the transition from reversible to irreversible stage is elusive. Moreover, no recognized and reliable assessments to distinguish these two stages are available.

Few studies have explored the straw decomposition processes with the presence of minerals, and the effect of newly generated organo-mineral complexes on heavy metal adsorption. In this study, we investigated the variations in structure and composition during the rice straw decomposition with or without minerals (goethite and kaolinite), as well as the adsorption behavior and mechanisms by which straw decomposition affects Cd immobilization.

Unexpected traffic accidents cause traffic congestion and aggravate the unsafe situation on the roadways. Reducing the impact of such congestion by introducing Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) into the traditional traffic flow is possible. It requires estimating the incident's duration and analyzing the incident's impact area to determine the appropriate strategy.

NPP at large scale is difficult to be measured. At present, most of the assessment of ecosystem quality uses NPP products with low resolution, which cannot capture the detailed characteristics of the ecosystem and is not conducive to the assessment of ecosystem quality at small-scale.

This study aimed to identify predictors and establish a scoring system by assessing PFO morphology and stroke-related factors.
Methods: Based on a prospective multicenter registered clinical trial, we compared data mainly derived from transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and clinical history in patients with PFO-related CS and those without CS (non-CS) with incidental PFO.
The features of quasi-stationary signals (QSS) are considered to be in a direct position determination (DPD) framework, and a real-valued DPD algorithm of QSS for nested arrays is proposed. By stacking the vectorization form of the signal's covariance for different frames and further eliminating noise, a new noise-eliminated received signal matrix is obtained first. Then, the combination of the Khatri-Rao subspace method and subspace data fusion method was performed to form the cost function.

This method was based on Magnetic sulfonated reduced graphene oxide (M-S-RGO), which was sensitive and selective to analytes with structure of multiaromatic rings and negatively charged ions. Several factors affecting MSPE efficiency such as pH and adsorption time were optimized.

However, little is known about the etiology of IPAH. Thus, the present study aimed to establish the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between IPAH and normal tissues, which may serve as potential prognostic markers in IPAH.

While β3-amino acids can be readily prepared from α-amino acids via one-carbon homologation, the synthesis of β2-amino acids generally requires multistep efforts. This review focuses on the recent advances in the synthesis of β2-amino acids and their derivatives from substituted β-nitropropionate analogues obtained from the stereoselective transformation of β-nitroacrylates.

The reaction proceeds by a conjugate addition and enantioselective protonation cascade, affording a rhodium enolate that undergoes -face protonation. The reaction tolerates various arylboronic acids and can be used in the gram-scale synthesis of ()-phenylalanine hydrochloride, demonstrating the reaction scope and the synthetic feasibility of the process.
