- A novel ZnO/CuI/Cu foam electrode (CIZ-3) showed exceptional efficiency in degrading tetracycline in water through photoelectrocatalytic methods, achieving a hydroxyl radical (HO) yield of 405.0 μmol L under light irradiation.
- The electrode outperformed other combinations (ZnO/Cu foam and CuI/Cu foam) by producing 1.7 and 1.6 times more hydroxyl radicals, leading to a 99% degradation of tetracycline.
- The efficient movement of electrons between CuI and ZnO significantly improved the separation of electron-hole pairs, enhancing the overall photoelectrocatalytic activity and reducing the toxicity of the wastewater.
