Electrolytic aqueous zinc-manganese (Zn-Mn) batteries have the advantage of high discharge voltage and high capacity due to two-electron reactions. However, the pitfall of electrolytic Zn-Mn batteries is the sluggish deposition reaction kinetics of manganese oxide during the charge process and short cycle life. We show that, incorporating ZnO electrolyte additive can form a neutral and highly viscous gel-like electrolyte and render a new form of electrolytic Zn-Mn batteries with significantly improved charging capabilities.

Isoliquiritigenin (ISL), as a natural flavonoid, has been proven to have therapeutic potential for corneal neovascularization (CNV) treatment; however, its therapeutic use is restricted due to its poor aqueous solubility and limited bioavailability. In this paper, we propose the K-Shot Contrastive Learning (KSCL) of visual features by applying multiple augmentations to investigate the sample variations within individual instances. It aims to combine the advantages of inter-instance discrimination by learning discriminative features to distinguish between different instances, as well as intra-instance variations by matching queries against the variants of augmented samples over instances. Particularly, for each instance, it constructs an instance subspace to model the configuration of how the significant factors of variations in K-shot augmentations can be combined to form the variants of augmentations.
