OligoFormer: an accurate and robust prediction method for siRNA design.

Motivation: RNA interference (RNAi) has become a widely used experimental approach for post-transcriptional regulation and is increasingly showing its potential as future targeted drugs. However, the prediction of highly efficient siRNAs (small interfering RNAs) is still hindered by dataset biases, the inadequacy of prediction methods, and the presence of off-target effects. To overcome these limitations, we propose an accurate and robust prediction method, OligoFormer, for siRNA design.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in many pathophysiological processes, including cancer progression. Detection of Advanced Glycosylation End Products in the Cornea Based on Molecular Fluorescence and Machine Learning.

Advanced glycosylation end products (AGEs) are continuously produced and accumulated in the bodies of diabetic patients. To effectively predict disease trends in diabetic patients, a corneal fluorescence detection device was designed based on the autofluorescence properties of AGEs, and corneal fluorescence measurements were performed on 83 volunteers. Multiple linear regression (MLR), extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), support vector regression (SVR), and back-propagation neural network (BPNN) were used to predict the human AGE content.

Prognostic influence for hilar cholangiocarcinoma and comparisons of prognostic values of Mayo staging and TNM staging systems.

The study was designed to discuss the effect of stratification factors in the Mayo staging on the prognosis of hilar cholangiocarcinoma (HCCA) patients, and to evaluate the predictive value of the Mayo staging on the prognosis. The Kaplan-Meier survival curve and Log-rank test were used to perform univariate analysis on each index and obtain statistically significant influencing factors. The Kaplan-Meier survival curve and Log-rank test were used to analyze the correlation between the two staging systems and the survival period.

Metastasis of liver cancer to the thyroid after surgery: A case report.

Background: Secondary thyroid malignancies are rarely reported, especially thyroid metastasis after resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We report a patient with thyroid metastasis after resection of HCC.
