The aim of the present study was to develop and evaluate a clinical-imaging-radiomic nomogram based on pre-enhanced computed tomography (CT) for pre-operative differentiation lipid-poor adenomas (LPAs) from metastases in patients with lung cancer with small hyperattenuating adrenal incidentalomas (AIs). A total of 196 consecutive patients with lung cancer, who underwent initial chest or abdominal pre-enhanced CT scan with small hyperattenuating AIs, were included. The patients were randomly divided into a training cohort with 71 cases of LPAs and 66 cases of metastases, and a testing cohort with 31 cases of LPAs and 28 cases of metastases.

Objective: The modified day surgery procedure was compared with traditional inpatient procedure and standard day surgery procedure of concealed penile surgery to investigate its advantages, as well as the feasibility of promoting it in our country.

Methods: Retrospective analyzing the clinical data between 135 cases of the concealed penis in children who underwent modified day surgery (day group) and 101 cases who underwent hospitalization surgery (hospitalization group) at the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University and the results of follow-up.The modified day surgery procedure involves the establishment of dedicated day wards in each surgical department, where the patient's condition is monitored until 8 o'clock the following morning to assess their discharge eligibility.

In our prior investigation, we discerned loss-of-function variants within the gene encoding glutamine-rich protein 2 (QRICH2) in two consanguineous families, leading to various morphological abnormalities in sperm flagella and male infertility. The Qrich2 knockout (KO) in mice also exhibits multiple morphological abnormalities of the flagella (MMAF) phenotype with a significantly decreased sperm motility. However, how ORICH2 regulates the formation of sperm flagella remains unclear.

Methods: A total of 303 patients who underwent F-FDG-PET/CT with indeterminate adrenal nodules and extra-adrenal malignancies from March 2015 to June 2021 were included in this retrospective study (training dataset (n = 182): AMs (n = 97), ABNs (n = 85); testing dataset (n = 121): AMs (n = 68), ABNs (n = 55)). The present study aimed to investigate the effect of vitrification on the expression of fertilization related genes (CD9 and CD81) and DNA methyl transferases (DNMT1 and DNMT3b) in bovine germinal vesicle (GV) oocytes and their resulting metaphase Ⅱ (MⅡ) stages after in vitro maturation culture. GV oocytes were vitrified using the open-pulled straw method; after warming, they were cultured in vitro. In this study, commonly detected emerging contaminants (ECs) in water, including di-n-butyl phthalate (DnBP), di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), cephalexin (CLX), sulfamethoxazole (SMX) and caffeine (CAF), were selected as the target contaminants. A lab-prepared graphene-containing ceramic composite tubular membrane (TGCCM) coupled with the simultaneous electrocoagulation and electrofiltration process (EC/EF) in crossflow filtration mode was used to remove target contaminants in model solution. Meanwhile, a comparison of the removal efficiency was made among various tubular composite membranes reported, including carbon fibers/carbon/alumina composite tubular membrane (TCCACM), titania/alumina composite tubular membrane (TTACM) and alumina tubular membrane (TAM).
