To investigate the adhesion properties of asphalt binder-aggregate interfaces, contact angle tests were performed on base, aged, and SBS# asphalt with limestone and basalt aggregates. A molecular dynamics simulation model was established to analyze interfacial adhesion characteristics. The results indicate good consistency between the experimental and molecular dynamics simulation findings.

Background And Hypothesis: It is unclear whether dietary vitamin E and tocopherol isoform intake is associated with health outcomes in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). We hypothesize that different dietary tocopherol isoforms have different health effects in people with CKD. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the association between dietary vitamin E and tocopherol isoforms and risks of CKD progression and all-cause mortality in patients with CKD.

This study investigated whether exposure to heatwaves, temperature fluctuations, and warm-season ozone (O) contributes to or exacerbates IR and explored the potential mediating role of biological aging. The study enrolled 6901 participants and assessed both traditional and novel IR indicators: estimated glucose disposal rate (eGDR), triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (TG/HDL-c), metabolic score for IR (METS-IR), TyG-body mass index (TyG-BMI), TyG-waist circumference (TyG-WC), waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), TyG-WHtR, and lipid accumulation product (LAP).

Thermoelectric coatings with high biomass content, excellent storage stability, and solvent-free curing capabilities are highly desirable yet challenging. In this study, we demonstrate that supramolecular room-temperature flowable lignin (RTFL) was introduced as an effective carrier for the two-dimensional conductive material MXene, facilitating the development of supramolecular sustainable coatings. Lignosulfonic acid (LA) and polymerizable quaternary ammonium salt monomers were successfully utilized to synthesize the RTFL with ultra-low glass transition temperatures (-67--38 °C) using a deep eutectic strategy, with lignin content reaching up to 50 wt% without relying on traditional solvents.

Objectives: We aimed to investigate longitudinal relationships of dietary protein intake from different sources and quantity of plasma amino acids with new-onset CKD in the general population.
Methods: Participants (mean age: 56 y) without CKD at baseline were included in the UK Biobank.
The construction of homochiral zero-field single-molecule magnets (SMMs), especially with axial chiral ligands, remains a great challenge. Herein the first examples of homochiral Dy(III) Schiff base complexes based on axial chiral ligands ()/()-5,5',6,6',7,7',8,8'-octahydro-1,1'-bi-2-naphthyl phosphate (-HL/-HL), [Dy(-L/-L)(L)(HO)(MeOH)]·2MeOH·CHCl·2MeCN·2HO (-1/-1) [HL = ()-'-(5-fluoro-2-hydroxybenzylidene)pyrazine-2-carbohydrazide], were synthesized at room temperature, which show ferromagnetic coupling and act as zero-field SMMs, with a / value of 61 K at 0 Oe. calculations were used to explain their magnetic interaction and magnetic relaxation properties.

We aimed to identify candidate plasma proteins for SLE risk in women, discover potential treatment targets for SLE, and develop and validate a protein-based prediction model for SLE risk.
Methods: 28 220 women from the UK Biobank were randomly split into training (70%) and testing (30%) sets.
Scope: The relationship of dietary copper intake with new-onset chronic kidney disease (CKD) remained unclear. We aimed to examine the association of dietary copper intake with new-onset CKD in a 30-year follow-up study from young adulthood to midlife.

Background: Heart failure (HF) guidelines recommend routine testing for iron deficiency (ID) and, for those with ID, intravenous iron if the left ventricular ejection fraction is <50%. Guideline adherence to these recommendations by cardiologists in China is unknown.
Methods And Results: An independent academic web-based survey was designed and distributed via social networks to cardiologists across China.
Integrating liquid metal (LM) with wood fibers for flexible paper electronics is intriguing yet extremely challenging due to poor mechanical performance. Here, we disclose a hemicellulose trapping strategy to achieve exceptional ultrastrong and tough LM-based paper electronics. Holocellulose nanofibrils (HCNFs) with hemicellulose retention of approximately 20 % are found to effectively entrap nanoscale LM within the fibril network, analogous to spider silk capturing small water droplets.

Molecular frameworks have recently shown a great potential in atmospheric water harvesting, in which the water release at low temperatures is challenging. Anion-organic frameworks based on anion-coordination chemistry are presented herein to meet this challenge. These frameworks are prepared as tubular single crystals in pure water from the in situ protonation and crystallization of pyridine-terminated triphenylamine derivatives with hydrochloric or hydrobromic acid.

Methods: The prospective cohort study included 53 029 participants from UKB-PPP (UK Biobank Pharmaceutical Proteomics Project). IS protein risk score was calculated as the weighted sum of proteins selected by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression.
Aims: The association between vitamin D and the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) remains inconclusive. We aimed to explore the association of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD) with incident VTE among participants with and without diabetes, and examine the modifying effect of genetic susceptibility of VTE and vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphisms on this association.
Materials And Methods: A total of 378,082 participants free of VTE at baseline from the UK Biobank were included.
