Cholestatic liver injuries, characterized by regional damage around the bile ductular region, lack curative therapies and cause considerable mortality. Here we generated a high-definition spatiotemporal atlas of gene expression during cholestatic injury and repair in mice by integrating spatial enhanced resolution omics sequencing and single-cell transcriptomics. Spatiotemporal analyses revealed a key role of cholangiocyte-driven signaling correlating with the periportal damage-repair response.

Meanwhile, based on the result of the pilot external quality assessment (EQA) scheme, we hope to establish a standardized and reliable procedure for future EQA practice.
Methods: We recruited laboratories that participated in the EQA of quantitative analysis of urinary organic acids with GC-MS before joining the surveys.
Background: Existing evidence suggests that the composition of the gut microbiota is associated with neuropathic pain (NP), but the mechanistic link is elusive. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα) has been shown to be a pharmacological target for the treatment of metabolic disorders, and its expression is also involved in inflammatory regulation. The aim of this study was to investigate the important modulatory effects of PPARα on gut microbiota and spinal cord metabolites in mice subjected to chronic constriction injury.

Despite the ease with which these transducers can be formed into complex shapes, their lack of mechanical flexibility limits their versatility across various sizes of underwater vehicles. This study introduces a novel flexible piezoelectric composite hydroacoustic transducer (FPCHT) based on a 1-3 PZT-5A/silicone rubber composite and an island-bridge flexible electrode, which can break the limitations of existing hydroacoustic transducers that do not have flexibility.

The unique metal-insulator transition of VO is very suitable for dynamic electromagnetic (EM) regulation materials due to its sharp change in electrical conductivity. Here, we have developed an off/on switchable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding composite by interconnecting VO nanowires (NWs) in poly(vinylidene fluoride--hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) to form conductive networks, resulting in outstanding performance at the X and Ku bands with maximum change values of 44.8 and 59.

A total of 96 Jinghong laying hens, 36 wks of age, were divided into four treatments, with eight repetitions per treatment and three hens per repetition. All the hens were raised in summer (average temperature: 31.

To this end, we divided 72 male mice into nine groups, each subjected to varying dosages of T-2, DON, or their combinations. Over a four-week experimental period, meticulous monitoring was undertaken regarding the mice's body weight, biochemical markers of bone formation and resorption, and the activity of relevant cells.

Despite advancements, challenges persist, including the diminishing efficacy of biologics and small-molecule targeted agents, alongside managing recurrence and psoriasis-related comorbidities. Unraveling the underlying pathogenesis and identifying valuable biomarkers remain pivotal for diagnosing and treating psoriasis.

However, the current research predominantly focuses on redefining and/or manipulating their geometries while replicating their bulk properties. Given the inherent design flexibility of dynamic covalent networks, DCPs also exhibit a remarkable potential for various novel applications through postsynthesis reprogramming their properties.

In utero iron deficiency (ID) may delay auditory neural maturation in infants. We evaluated the association between ID and HHL as well as the modification effect of socioeconomic status (SES) on this association in newborns.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are considered as protein recruiters; nevertheless, the patterns of circRNA-protein interactions in colorectal cancer (CRC) are still lacking. Processing bodies (PBs) formed through liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) are membrane-less organelles (MLOs) consisting of RBPs and RNA.

Photocatalytic materials-microbial biohybrid systems pave the way for solar-driven wastewater nitrogen removal. In this study, interspecies cooperation in photogenerated electron transfer and efficient nitrogen removal mechanism in the g-CN-anammox consortia biohybrid system were first deciphered. The results indicated that the essential extracellular electron carriers (cytochrome c and flavin) for anammox genomes were provided by associated bacteria (BACT3 and CHLO2).
