The pursuit of smaller, energy-efficient devices drives the exploration of electromechanically active thin films (<1 µm) to enable micro- and nano-electromechanical systems. While the electromechanical response of such films is limited by substrate-induced mechanical clamping, large electromechanical responses in antiferroelectric and multilayer thin-film heterostructures have garnered interest. Here, multilayer thin-film heterostructures based on antiferroelectric PbHfO and ferroelectric PbHfTiO overcome substrate clamping to produce electromechanical strains >4.

Background: Developmental delay (DD) poses challenges to children's overall development, necessitating early detection and intervention. Existing screening tools in China focus mainly on children with developmental issues in two or more domains, diagnosed as global developmental delay (GDD). However, the recent rise of early childhood development (ECD) concepts has expanded the focus to include not only those with severe brain development impairments but also children who lag in specific domains due to various social-environmental factors, with the aim of promoting positive development through active intervention.

By inducing apoptosis, promoting differentiation and reducing the migration of cancer cells, arsenic has a higher therapeutic effect and lower risk of recurrence and metastasis than conventional anticancer drugs. However, the low bioavailability and adverse side effects of arsenic hinder its application in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Therefore, a M1 macrophage membrane-coated nickel-arsenic/polydopamine nanocomplex (NiAsOx@P@M) was constructed to enhance the combined antitumor effects of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Five phenylpropanoid dimers chrysanthephenyls A-E, with the 1-O-1'-type (1) and 1-O-2'-type (2-5) ether bond linking modes, were isolated from the aerial parts of Chrysanthemum indicum. Among them, chrysanthephenyls D and E were two pairs of enantiomers, and chrysanthephenyl E was further resolved into its enantiomers (+)-chrysanthephenyl E and (-)-chrysanthephenyl E via chiral-phase HPLC. Their structures were characterized on the basic analysis of the spectroscopic techniques (IR, HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR), and their absolute configurations were determined by DP4+ NMR analysis and ECD calculation method.
