Background: Transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) could improve cognition in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, the effects of tACS on brain activity remain unclear.
Objective: The purpose is to investigate the change in regional neuronal activity after tACS in AD patients employing resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI).
The current popular traffic classification methods based on feature engineering and machine learning are difficult to obtain suitable traffic feature sets for multiple traffic classification tasks. Besides, data privacy policies prohibit network operators from collecting and sharing traffic data that might compromise user privacy. To address these challenges, we propose FedETC, a federated learning framework that allows multiple participants to learn global traffic classifiers, while keeping locally encrypted traffic invisible to other participants.

Recently, strategies that regulate macrophage polarization to prevent or even treat peri-implantitis have attracted increasing attention. Here, we prepared a laser-drilled and covered with metal organic framework-miR-27a agomir nanomembrane (L-MOF-agomir) implant, which could load and sustain the release of miR-27a agomir.

All-optical switching provides rapid exchange of wavelength resources, which has coarse granularity. In scenarios where the PC is limited, such as broadband satcom, a switching architecture with lower PC and finer granularity than optical switching would be useful.

Objectives: To explore the use of immediate implant placement technique in peri-implantitis modeling, shorten the modeling period, and obtain similar effects.
Materials And Methods: Eighty rats were divided into 4 groups: immediate placement (IP), delayed placement (DP), IP-ligation (IP-L) and DP-ligation (DP-L). In the DP and DP-L groups, implants were placed 4 weeks after tooth extraction.
Radiofrequency (RF) channelization has potential high frequency and wideband advantages in frequency-domain channel segmentation and down-conversion reception. In this paper, we propose a compact dual-channel channelizer that can process high-frequency wideband signals. It uses double-polarization double-sideband electro-optic modulation and Hartley structure photoelectric conversion to realize down-conversion channelization of the high-frequency wideband signal.

Background: There are many differences between periodontitis and peri-implantitis. An understanding of the similarities and differences in the transcriptional patterns of these diseases, as well as the molecular mechanisms, is beneficial for the development of management strategies.
Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients, especially those with end stage renal disease (ESRD) undergoing hemodialysis (HD), exhibit high prevalence of periodontitis. This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the periodontal status of HD patients and its relationship with salivary microbiome.
Methods: One hundred eight HD patients and one hundred healthy control individuals were recruited.
Ubiquitin-specific protease 34 (USP34), a member of the ubiquitin-specific protease family, regulates osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells via bone morphogenetic protein signaling. This study aimed to investigate the role of USP34 in fixation of titanium implants in mouse models. Eight-week-old Usp34-knockout (Prx1-Cre;Usp34 ) mice and their Usp34 wild-type (Usp34 ) control littermates were used.

Disturbance of either enzyme compromises tissue homeostasis. We recently have identified that the ubiquitin-specific protease 34 (USP34) contributes to bone formation by promoting osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells.

However, its effects on titanium implant osseointegration and mandibular bone during aging remain unknown.
Methods: Two-month-old and 18-month-old C57BL male mice were given daily intraperitoneal injections of recombinant GDF11 (rGDF11) or vehicle for 6 weeks.
