In cases of insufficient bone volume in the implant area, bone augmentation surgery is often required to ensure an adequate amount of bone around the implant. In autologous bone grafting procedures, some patients face insufficient bone volume at conventional intraoral bone harvesting sites. Due to the high difficulty associated with completing palatal osteotomies freehand, fewer palatal lateral osteotomies have been reported, and palatal bone blocks are not routinely used in bone augmentation procedures.

Background: Immune cells play a pivotal role in maintaining ovarian function. However, the specific contributions of different immune cell phenotypes to the pathogenesis of specific ovarian-related diseases remain poorly understood. The authors aim to investigate the correlation between 731 immunophenotypes and ovarian-related diseases.

Objective: To explore the bidirectional causal relationship between Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) and Osteoarthritis (OA) at the genetic level within the European ancestry.

Methods: We implemented a series of quality control steps to select instrumental variables (IVs) related to the exposure. We conducted two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) using the inverse-variance weighted method as the primary approach.

Objectives: To evaluate the effect of different endodontic sealers (epoxy resin-based and bioceramic-based) and the time of post-cementation on the bond strength of a fiber post cemented with resin cement.

Methods: Forty human premolars were instrumented and divided into 4 groups. According to the type of sealer and the time of post-cementation: AH-IM (AH Plus, post-cemented immediately after root canal treatment), SP-IM (iRoot SP, post-cemented immediately after root canal treatment), AH-OW (AH Plus, post-cementation after one week), and SP-OW (iRoot SP, post-cementation after one week).

Objective: To investigate the antibacterial effect of a novel antimicrobial peptide containing oral spray GERM CLEAN on and further explore the related mechanisms at phenotypic and transcriptional levels.

Methods: The disk diffusion method was used to preliminarily appraise the antimicrobial effect of GERM CLEAN. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of GREM CLEAN towards was determined by the broth dilution method.

Aim: To identify the decreasing effect of xenotransplantion in combination with privileged sites on rejection and death of biological semipermeable membrane-(BSM) encapsulated implanted islets.

Methods: After the BSM experiment in vitro, BSM-encapsulated SD rat's islet-like cell clusters (ICCs) were xenotransplanted into normal dog's brain. Morphological changes were observed under light and transmission electron microscope.
