Impact of Body Mass Index and advanced maternal age on in vitro fertilization outcomes.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of body mass index associated with advanced maternal age on pregnancy outcomes.

Methods: A retrospective and observational study that included 808 in vitro fertilization cycles and evaluated: age, weight, height, number of oocytes and mature oocytes, number of embryos and transferred embryos, fertilization and clinical pregnancy rates. Four categories of body mass index: underweight, adequate weight, overweight and obesity.

Periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis syndrome in children: a brief literature review.

Objective: To describe clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic characteristics of the periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis (PFAPA) syndrome.

Data Source: Literature review in the PubMed database by using specific descriptors to identify all articles published in the English language in the last three years; 38 articles were found. After performing selection of titles and abstract analysis, 13 out of the 38 articles were fully read.
