[Utilization of routine data from different statutory health insurance funds: a practical report of experience from the TIM-HF2 study about data acquisition, validation, and processing].

Background: The randomized controlled clinical trial "TIM-HF2" investigated the benefit of telemonitoring in chronic heart failure. The health economic evaluation of this intervention was based on routine data from statutory health insurance (SHI) funds. Since participants were recruited independently of their SHI affiliation, there was a large number of potential data-providing SHI funds.
