Background And Aims: We aimed to assess the levels of hepatitis B and C knowledge, attitudes, and practices among medical students in Jordan. A survey included participation from medical students across all faculties in Jordan, from 2022 to 2023.
Methods: The data were analyzed with The R Statistical Software (v4.
Background: The selling of Jamu Gendong (an Indonesian traditional herbal medicine), is closely associated with the informal work of women who migrate to different regions. In Sukoharjo Regency and Wonogiri Regency, Central Java Province, the pressing need to meet household necessities in their places of origin compels women to assume the role of breadwinners. Therefore, this research aimed to identify the livelihood capital and resilience of migrant women selling jamu gendong.

Fatty acid profiling revealed variability of 10 fatty acids profiles, with heterozygous (HT) and homozygous (HM) groups exhibiting distinct patterns. Hierarchical cluster analysis and multivariate analyses demonstrated a clear separation of HM from HT and control (CO) groups related to cardiac remodeling.

From the precise definition of rGERD to the detailed characterization of its phenotypes, it will pave the way for the customization of optimal therapy for each patient. In this narrative literature review, the aim is to provide an updated synthesis of the utility of various diagnostic tools and explore the wide range of therapeutic options, both medical and invasive, available for this condition.

Biofeedback therapy is a functional retraining of the pelvic floor that has proven useful in the treatment of constipation associated with dyssynergia and in the management of fecal incontinence. This study describes the first experiences with this form of biofeedback therapy in Colombia.

Primary Outcome: Evaluate the manometric and clinical changes in adult patients with achalasia after peroral endoscopic myotomy at a referral center in Bogotá, Colombia.
Methods: Observational, analytical, longitudinal study.

Industrial wastewater especially contains various toxic pollutants that pose an additional threat to the environment; thus, efficient removal of such contaminants can ensure safe reprocessing of industrial wastewater, thereby alleviating the demand for fresh water. Herein, we describe a novel and efficient approach for preparing porous polycaprolactone (PCL) membranes with a hierarchical architecture a simple solvent/non-solvent methodology.

Achieving worldwide sampling necessitated use of two different surveying methods: In-person household interviews (9 countries) and Internet surveys (26 countries). Two countries, China and Turkey, were surveyed with both methods.

The Rome Foundation Global Epidemiology Study (RFGES) Internet survey included 26 countries, four from Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, with a 40.3% prevalence of Rome IV DGBI.

Autopsy examination is an invaluable tool to understand the pathogenesis of emerging infections and their consequent mortalities. The aim of the current study was to present the lung and heart pathological findings of COVID-19-positive autopsies performed in Jordan.

We examined the association between the antihypertensive classes and other clinical patient features with symptoms of depression, anxiety, insomnia, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in a cohort of Syrian war refugees with stress and hypertension residing in Jordan.
Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited hypertensive Syrian refugees with stress.
Brachial artery pseudoaneurysms (PSA) are considered uncommon, but they can be limb and life threatening. Most etiologies are related to iatrogenic injury or following a fracture. Here we present a 37-year-old male complaining of a large swelling in his right upper arm that was gradually increasing in size for the last 7 months.

We developed a learning model to predict lymph node metastasis in resected specimens of tongue cancer by classifying the level of immunohistochemical (IHC) staining for angiogenesis- and lymphangiogenesis-related proteins using a multilayer perceptron neural network (MNN).
Methods: We obtained a dataset of 76 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue who had undergone primary tumor resection.

Background: Ultrasound is employed in needle interventions to visualize the anatomical structures and track the needle. Nevertheless, needle detection in ultrasound images is a difficult task, specifically at steep insertion angles.
Purpose: A new method is presented to enable effective needle detection using ultrasound B-mode and power Doppler analyses.
The water quality index is one of the prominent general indicators to assess and classify surface water quality, which plays a critical role in river water resources practices. This research constructs a hybrid artificial intelligence model namely sequential minimal optimization-support vector machine (SMO-SVM) along with random forest (RF) as a benchmark model for predicting water quality values at the Wadi Saf-Saf river basin in Algeria. The fifteen input water quality datasets such as biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), oxygen saturation (OS), the potential for hydrogen (pH), chemical oxygen demand (COD), chloride (Cl), dissolved oxygen (DO), electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), nitrate-nitrogen (NO-N), nitrite-nitrogen (NO-N), phosphate (PO), ammonium (NH), temperature (T), turbidity (NTU), and suspended solids (SS) were employed for constructing the predictive models.

Implicated pathogens can be spread hematogenously, by urine reflux in dysfunctional voiders, through aberrant mesonephric duct anatomy, or via a patent processus vaginalis in the setting of an intra-abdominal infection. A testicular-sparing surgical approach is often used in prepubertal populations and is associated with positive outcomes.

Objective: This study aims to provide a retrospective overview of hereditary NMDs based on our clinical consultations in Lebanon.
Methods: Clinical and molecular data of patients referred to a multi-disciplinary consultation for neuromuscular disorders over a 20-year period (1999-2019) was reviewed.
Secondary amyloidosis, a rare complication of Crohn disease (CD), is triggered by persistent systemic inflammation. Kidney involvement is the most frequent manifestation and is often characterized by nephrotic syndrome and kidney failure. This complication usually appears in patients with long-standing disease and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality risk.
