We report the case of a 50-year-old female with gastric carcinoma. The tumor was positive for epithelial and other immunological markers; however, SMARCA4 was completely inactivated. The histological and immunophenotypic findings were consistent with a diagnosis of SMARCA4-DTS.

However, in our study, we unexpectedly found that DcR3 may promote patient survival time in colorectal cancer (CRC). Through an analysis of The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets, we discovered that high levels of DcR3 are associated with improved overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) in CRC patients.

We aimed to determine the association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of NDRG1 and glioma risk and prognosis in the Chinese Han population. 5 candidate SNPs were genotyped by Agena MassARRAY in 558 cases and 503 controls; logistic regression was used to analyze the relationship between SNPs and glioma risk.

Furthermore, in TC cells, Ku80 mRNA was detected by reverse transcription‑quantitative PCR analysis and silenced using the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR‑associated protein 9 (Cas9) technique to assess its role. An antibody array was used to identify Ku80‑related regulatory genes.

Gastric cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Survivin overexpressed in many human cancers as a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein family. We found that all samples of normal gastric tissues did not express the protein of survivin, and however, 65% human gastric cancer samples expressed survivin.
