Background: Coexistence of autoimmune encephalitis (AE) with multiple autoantibodies is of particular concern because overlying antibodies may cause variation of clinical manifestations. Coexistence of anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) and anti-Gamma-aminobutyric acid-α-receptor (GABAAR) antibodies in AE was rare.

Case Presentation: A 44-year-old female patient presented to our hospital due to cognitive decline for 4 years, seizures, slowed speech and depression for 2 months.

The Dengue virus (DENV) is an enveloped, single-stranded RNA virus with several antigenically distinct serotypes (DENV-1 to DENV-5). Dengue fever, as a major public health threat transmitted by mosquitoes, affects millions of people worldwide (especially in tropical and subtropical regions). Toward drug developments of DENV, the nonstructural protein 5 methyltransferase (MTase) serves as an attractive target.

The design and manufacture of high activity and thermal stability catalysts with minimal precious metal loading is essential for deep degradation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In this paper, a novel single-atom Pt-CeO/CoO catalyst with ultra-low Pt loading capacity (0.06 wt%, denoted as 0.

Bismuth vanadate (BiVO) is a prospective candidate for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation, but its commercial application is limited due to the serious surface charge recombination. In this work, we propose a novel and effective electrochemical reduction strategy combined with co-catalyst modification to manipulate the surface states of the BiVO photoanode. Specifically, an ultrathin amorphous structure is formed on the surface of BiVO after electrochemical reduction ascribed to the breaking of the surface metal-O bonds.

: Migraine is a common type of primary headache with disabling brain dysfunction. It has been found that pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP) is involved in the pathogenesis of migraine, however, the role of PACAP and its receptors in chronic migraine remains unclear. Therefore, the present study aimed to explore the changes of PACAP and its receptors in different duration after recurrent dural inflammation soup stimulations and to investigate the co-expression between PACAP and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP).

Extracting atmospheric moisture for freshwater production is an appealing way to mitigate the global water crisis. However, the low moisture sorption capacity and high desorption temperature are the major bottlenecks for efficient atmospheric water harvesting. Herein, we develop a transition metal super-hygroscopic hydrogel by an economical strategy, which is constructed through a facile coordination between metal salts and ethanolamine.

Varicella-zoster virus (VZV) lurks in cranial nerves and other brain ganglias after infection. Because middle cerebral artery (MCA) receives the ipsilateral trigeminal ganglia afferent innervations, the reactivated VZV infects the adventitia and intima of cerebral artery wall probably through this way and causes vascular inflammation, finally resulting in artery remodeling, vessel occlusion, and ischemia. In fact, there is a growing clinical recognition that there is an association between VZV reactivation and subsequent stroke.

Background: Cerebrovascular complications after adult-onset varicella-zoster virus (VZV) encephalitis have been increasingly recognized. The aim of this study was to analyze clinical and neuroimaging findings, treatment and outcome of these patients.

Methods: Literature review from January 2000 to December 2019.

Migraine is the seventh most disabling disorder globally, with prevalence of 11.7% worldwide. One of the prevailing mechanisms is the activation of the trigeminovascular system, and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) is an important therapeutic target for migraine in this system.

Background: To identify differences in allodynia and grooming behaviours between rat models of either repeated dural nociception with inflammatory soup (IS) or infraorbital nerve chronic constriction injury (IoN-CCI).

Methods: Repeated dural nociception was induced via the application of IS to the dural meninges and IoN-CCI was applied to model neuropathic pain. All surgeries were performed on the right side and a sham operation was performed on the control group.
