With the variety of fibers and fabrics, the studies of the surface structure of the textile yarns, the weave fabric, and their surface wettability are still potential factors to improve and optimize the fog harvesting efficiency. In this work, inspired by the fog harvesting behavior of the desert beetle dorsal surface, a wavy-bumpy structure of post-weave yarn (obtained from woven fabric) was reported to improve large droplet growth (converge) efficiency. In which, this study used tetrabutyl titanate (Ti(OCH)) to waterproof, increase hydrophobicity, and stabilize the surface of yarns and fabric (inspired by the feather structure and lotus leaf surface).

The sodium intake among Vietnamese was reported to be 7,200 mg/d or more. Free L-glutamate enhances flavor when it is added to food and improves the taste of sodium-reduced foods.

A ternary recycled composite NBR/LF/PA was produced by a simple mixing method and vulcanized by compression molding. The mechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties of the composite were investigated in detail.

Affected cassava plants show reduced internodal length and proliferation of leaves (phyllody) in the middle and top part of the plant, which results in reduced root yields of 50% or more. It is thought to be caused by phytoplasma; however, despite its widespread distribution in SEA still little is known about CWBD pathology.

Its consequence is the increase in ultraviolet radiation at the surface in many regions and countries, which then causes danger to the human immune system, eyes, and especially skin - the part that is directly exposed most to the sunlight. According to the World Health Organization, the number of cases of skin cancer is higher than that of breast, prostate, and lung cancer combined.

A cross-sectional study with convenience sampling was conducted. Diagnostic criteria for atopic dermatitis were based on modified Hanifin and Raijka criteria and the severity of anxiety-depression disorder was evaluated using the hospital anxiety and depression scale.

These cells act through signaling transcription factors and secreting cytokines. We aimed to observe the percentages of Treg, Th17 cells, and their messenger RNA (mRNA) level of forkhead box protein 3 (Foxp3) and retinoid orphan receptor γt (RORγt) in the chronic hepatitis B (CHB)-infected group and CHB patients with hepatitis flare (HF).

Herein, we introduced a liquid nitrogen cooling unit into the laser ablation and ionization source for the first time to construct a cryogenic laser ablation and ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (Cryo-LAI-TOFMS) system. With this system, the interference of water-related species at / 19 was effectively eliminated, and fluorine atomization and ionization efficiency could reach 6.

Most of these tumors are caused by oncogenic activating mutations in the KIT or PDGFRA genes. The NCCN Guidelines for GIST provide recommendations for the diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and follow-up of patients with these tumors.

Method: A cross-sectional study was performed in Dap Thanh commune (Ba Che, Quang Ninh province, Vietnam), a mountainous area. There were 151 residents aged 18 years or above recruited for this study.
Four new -phenethylbenzamide derivatives, named piperbetamides A-D (-), and six allylbenzene derivatives (-) were isolated from the stems of L. Their structures were determined by HR-ESI-MS and NMR spectroscopic methods. Compounds - were evaluated for their inhibitory effects on the growth of nine microorganisms including five Gram-negative (, serovar Typhimurium, , , and Extended-spectrum beta-lactam resistant ), three Gram-positive (, Methicilin-resistant , Vancomycin-resistant ), and one yeast () strains.

STS can develop from fat, muscle, nerves, blood vessels, and other connective tissues. The evaluation and treatment of patients with STS requires a multidisciplinary team with demonstrated expertise in the management of these tumors.

While canonical non-homologous end-joining predominates in interphase, it is inhibited in mitosis to avoid telomere fusions. DNA polymerase θ mediated end-joining appears to be repressed in interphase, but promotes break repair in mitosis.

Herein, a microlensed fiber laser desorption post-ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MLF-LDPI-TOFMS) was developed for the 3D imaging of two anticancer drugs within single cells at a 500 × 500 × 500 nm voxel resolution. Nanoscale desorption was obtained with a microlensed fiber (MLF), and a 157 nm post-ionization laser was introduced to enhance the ionization yield.

In this study, we investigated the cellular morphology, proliferation capacity, surface markers, cellular senescence signals, clonogenic potential, trilineage differentiation capacity, and secreted factors of human primary UC-MSCs in long-term culture from passage 2 (P2) to passage 10 (P10) with either conventional fetal bovine serum (FBS)-supplemented medium or commercial xeno- and serum-free medium (StemMACS™). We found that the cells cultured in both media had similar morphology and marker expression.

We observed that Ringer lactate (RL) maintained high viability of bone marrow-derived MSCs for up to 72 h at room temperature (18°C-22°C), whereas adipose-derived and umbilical cord-derived MSCs showed the highest viability for 72 h at a cold temperature (4°C-8°C). These cells maintained their adherence ability with an improved recovery rate and metabolic profiles (glycolysis and mitochondrial respiration) similar to those of freshly harvested cells.

This concept can be clinically exploited but is currently limited due to insufficient knowledge about how DSBs are repaired in the absence of BRCA2. We show that DNA polymerase θ (POLθ)-mediated end joining (TMEJ) repairs DSBs arising during the S phase in BRCA2-deficient cells only after the onset of the ensuing mitosis.
