Impact of the 2017 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Hypertension Guideline on the prevalence of hypertension in young Saudi women.

Background: The diagnostic criteria for hypertension have recently been redefined by the American College of Cardiology/ American Heart Association (ACC/AHA). Data on the new prevalence of hypertension in different countries are emerging, but none, to date, from Saudi Arabia.

Aims: This study aimed to determine the impact of the 2017 ACC/AHA hypertension guideline on the prevalence and determinants of hypertension in young Saudi women.

We document the rare occurrence of multiple primary benign lesions that can occur in bilateral ovarian masses with benign imaging appearances and tumor markers. Vitamin D deficiency in Saudi Arabians: A reality or simply hype: A meta-analysis (2008-2015).

Background And Objective: The objective of this systematic review was to determine from published data the prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency in the Saudi population.

Methods: An extensive and meticulous search was conducted for studies published in MEDLINE, EMBASE the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (2008-2015), and the Science Citation Index published data from the Annals of Saudi Medicine and Saudi Medical Journal with the key words: Vitamin D deficiency, insufficiency, and Saudi Arabians. The inclusion criterion was studies published during 2008 to 2015, and studies involving healthy individuals between the age of 18 and 80 years.

Prevalence and Determinants of Hypertension and High Normal Blood Pressure Among Young Adult Saudi Females: Insights Into Preventive Strategies.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of hypertension and high normal blood pressure and their risk factors among young adult Saudi females. A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted in a women's university. A questionnaire evaluated the subjects' demographic data and risk factors for hypertension and the blood pressure, height, and weight were recorded.
