This study investigated caregiver burden among family caregivers of older adults, assessing contributing factors through data collected from 140 participants in a hospital in Istanbul.
Results indicated that the average age of caregivers was about 49 years, with most being female, and showed that certain factors like caregivers' health check-ups and social support play a significant role in reducing caregiver burden.
The findings highlighted a need for interventions and policies to alleviate caregiver burden, especially for those in poorer mental health and those caring for older adults with higher dependency levels.
