Aim: This study aimed to determine the effect of social media-supported learning on the academic achievement of nursing students and their social media usage levels in nursing education.
Background: Using social media in nursing education enables students to experience interactive learning, strengthening learning outcomes and creating an enriched learning environment with up-to-date information.
Method: The study was conducted as a randomized controlled study.
The use of social media in education has many effects such as rapid dissemination of information, crowdsourced information sharing, learning, and social interaction. In the study, it was aimed to determine the validity and reliability of the Social Media Questionnaire for Nursing Training (SMQNT), which can be used to determine the effect of social media in nursing education. The data of this methodological study were obtained from 262 nursing students.
