Background: The infiltration of lateral lymph nodes (LLN) plays a crucial role in the staging and treatment of individuals with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). This meta-analysis aimed to compare the efficacy of extended mesorectal excision (eTME) versus traditional mesorectal excision (TME-alone) in patients with clinically enlarged (LLN) concomitant neoadjuvant chemoradiation.

Background: Egypt has a shortage of physicians despite thousands of medical students graduating annually.
Aims: This study aimed to explore the reasons for Egyptian medical students and young physicians wanting to emigrate.
Methods: This cross-sectional study, conducted from February to April 2019, included 711 fifth- and sixth-year medical students and 174 residents from two medical faculties in Egypt, Tanta and Kafrelshiekh.
Health care-associated infections are reported among the top causes of hospital deaths worldwide. Their prevention is a first priority for patient safety in acute care hospitals. Education and training is recommended as a core component for effective infection prevention and control programs.

Background: Sexual harassment against nurses is a major workplace problem causing adverse psychological effects and may affect the occupational performance of the nurses. This study aimed to assess the magnitude of this problem, and its characteristics and consequences among the nursing staff in Tanta University Hospitals, Gharbeia Governorate, Egypt.
