P2-type NaNiMnO (NNMO) as cathode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) largely suffers from continuous accumulation of local stress caused by destructive structural evolution and irreversible oxygen loss upon cycling, leading to rapid capacity degradation. Herein, a strategy of negative enthalpy doping (NED), wherein transition metal (TM) sites are substituted with 0.01 mol each Sn, Sb, Cu, Ti, Mg, and Zn to increase the stability of the TM layers, is proposed.

However, the independent role of oocytes in mediating this heritability remains unclear. Utilizing in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer and surrogacy, we demonstrated that oocytes from androgen-exposed mice (F1) transmitted PCOS-like traits to F2 and F3 generations.

The precise molecular controls that dictate the inflammatory behavior of neutrophils post-TBI, however, remain largely elusive. Our comprehensive analysis of the molecular landscape surrounding the trauma in TBI mice has revealed a significant alteration in the abundance of β2 integrin (ITGB2), predominantly expressed by neutrophils and closely associated with immune responses.

This study investigates the mechanisms by which ZY15, isolated from healthy pig feces, mitigates intestinal barrier damage and inflammation caused by oxidative stress in Enterotoxigenic (ETEC) K88-challenged mice. The results indicated that ZY15 increased antioxidant capacity by reducing serum reactive oxygen species (ROS) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels.

Few studies evaluate the breastfeeding status including both duration and exclusivity according to the WHO recommendations on breastfeeding. This study aimed to investigate the association between breastfeeding status and ECC.

The analysis of DNA methylation (DNAm) levels at specific CpG sites represents one of the most promising molecular techniques for estimating an individual's age. To date, a considerable number of studies have reported the development of age prediction models on the basis of DNAm in body fluids, with only a few utilizing buccal swabs. The objective of this study was to identify age-dependent methylation CpG sites in three different genes (HOXC4, TRIM59, and ELOVL2) in buccal swab samples from the Chinese Han population.

In this study, the lentivirus has been produced for expression of the IL21 sequence linked to the extracellular NKG2D sequence with the signal peptide linked through the CD8α hinge-transmembrane domain to the 4-1BB molecule fused with the CD3-ζ chain signaling domain, and the engineered IL21-NKG2D CAR-T cells and NKG2D CAR-T cells were constructed. The CAR expression on CAR-T cells was assessed by flow cytometry, and the killing effects of CAR-T cells on MM were assessed by the cytotoxicity assay and ELISA assay.

While maternal exposure to high metal levels during pregnancy is an established risk factor for birth defects, the role of paternal exposure remains largely unknown. We aimed to assess the associations of prenatal paternal and maternal metal exposure and parental coexposure with birth defects in singletons. This study conducted within the Jiangsu Birth Cohort recruited couples in early pregnancy.

GMP-Tb was synthesized by the self-assembly of guanine monophosphate (GMP) and terbium ion (Tb), and SSA was introduced as a sensitizer into the GMP-Tb network. Cu could efficiently inhibit the electron transfer from the ligand GMP to the central ion, Tb, leading to a significant quench of fluorescence of Tb.

However, their development is hampered by their instability in polar solvents and high temperatures. Herein, we report a solution-processed CsMoCl perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) capped with the Mo, showing high thermostability in polar solvents.

This study aimed to evaluate whether living alone with cognitive impairment was associated with a higher burden of functional disability but lack of informal care.
Methods: 982 observations of adults living alone with cognitive impairment and 50,695 observations of adults living with others and with normal cognition were identified from 4 waves (2011/2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018) of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS).
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex disorder. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified several genes associated with this condition, including DENND1A. DENND1A encodes a clathrin-binding protein that functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor involved in vesicular transport.

Retinal neovascularization (RNV) is primarily driven by vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). However, current anti-VEGF therapies are limited by short half-lives and repeated injections, which reduce patient quality of life and increase medical risks. Additionally, not all patients benefit from anti-VEGF monotherapy, and some problems, such as unsatisfactory vision recovery, persist after long-term treatment.

However, some early-maturing varieties exhibit significant responses to maturity under different daylengths but not for flowering, depicting an evident photoperiodic after-effect, a poorly understood mechanism. In this study, we investigated the postflowering responses of 11 early-maturing soybean varieties to various preflowering photoperiodic treatments.

There is an ongoing dispute regarding the role of the prefrontal cortex (PFC) in the emergence of awareness, which is partially raised by the confound between report- and awareness-related activity. To address this problem, we designed a visual awareness task that can minimize report-related motor confounding.

It was also found that the level of OTUB2 was elevated in primary CRCs, and its high expression was a poor prognostic indicator for the patients. Interestingly, immunoprecipitation and LC-MS/MS analyses suggested that β-Catenin was an OTUB2-interacting protein, and there was a positive correlation between OTUB2 and β-Catenin expression in both CRC tissues and cell lines.
